Eliza Manningham Buller a few others are sick communists and must be put in institutions, or gaol. The US and UK had every right to fight the Iraqi fashist pigs. The Saracens butchered the Persians, Kurds, Assyrians, Seleucid Greeks, Parthians and fellow Arab Kubeitans. Sadly the Brits and Americans killed very very few Saracens, the country is still swarming with millions of Saracens. Iraq should become a British colony and the Saracens a serf population.
It's very easy to commit these international wars when these countries' populations are not viewed as human beings.Really before these wars in the mid east what do Europeans/whites view arabs as? Sounds like the same easy formula used not too long ago which we all learned about in school.
Saddam Hussein WAS a terrorist. In 2000 he started selling his oil for euros instead of dollars and that terrorized the U.S. banking system and he just had to go. And guess what? Iran did the same in 2006, so now they're the terrorists. Did I mention the Taliban outlawed the manufacture of opium in Afghanistan in July 2000? Damn those terrorists, threatening the corrupt U.S. economy.
Both parties being part of the vote for war doesn't excuse the one party that controlled the house, senate, and presidency from using the most fearful and hateful rhetoric they could come up with to intimidate and demonize anyone who didn't support that bullshit. Sorry. Yes, one is as bad as the other, but one party sure as hell bears more of the blame for the creation of the fear and hate filled narrative that sold us this nightmare.
In the last minute of the video, the guest says (regarding the reluctance of Obama to investigate the Bush admin for war crimes), "...it's puzzling..." and suggests that maybe Pelosi might not come out smelling like a rose....HELLO? It's not just Pelosi but Biden and Hilary TOO. They have just as much blood on their hands as Bush and Cheney. Will SOMEBODY finally TELL THE TRUTH? The Republicans and Democrats worked TOGETHER for that war.
sooooo right. i am realizing this now. which is why i disassociated myself with either party. when you take a step back you see things VERY clearly....
Should be interesting to see what weight this commitee will give to the testimony of the former head of MI5. I hope they also ask Hans Blix to testify. @underyourskindvd More than 1 Million civilians were killed and are still being killed everyday.... yet USA is still crying crocodile tears over there 3,000 civilians killed in 9/11.... there's an irony in there somewhere....
most of the deaths of iraqis were from IED's planted by insurgents. I don't think US troops had the ROE to shoot whoever they liked, very terrible PR and not exactly winning hearts and minds.
@CyborgNinja117 about a million dead civies and no most of them were not killed by IED's... Shock and Awe killed a large number and then changes to the ROE did quite a large number. IED's? Not that many. In Fallujah for example we shot anything that moved. Kid, pregnant woman, it didn't matter. We blanketed the city in white phosphorus making large numbers of crispy critters. Burned so bad you can't tell if they were even human.
@underyourskindvd You are correct, democracy is just a screening to protect the corporatism and the atrocities committed in the name of (false)Freedom.
@underyourskindvd saudi gov doesn't actively support terrorism. if you think they did you are an ignorant fool. the monarchs and wahhabists got beef... they did exile osama out in 96.
@underyourskindvd Read UN reso 1441. UN allowed P5 members military action based on article 7 of UN charter if Saddam didn't comply to the reso, which he didn't. Saddam did not support terrorism and him and AQ got a shit load of beef.
@underyourskindvd i don't know about thousands , more like hundred of thousands some say nearly a million some over a mil. would be very nice for people to think of thousands rather than the real number...
yes... but the US got control of lots of oil and set up strategic military bases throughout the country, halliburton, KBR, blackwater and the entire military industrial complex along will all the billionaire defense contractors got FILTHY RICH
no matter how many iraqi and american lives were lost, the benefit was greater than the cost... which is not my opinion, but the opinion of the neo cons and all the murderous scumbags that rule the world
@jumar1281 I believe one day soon they will.theres a massive movement demanding the truth.people power will do it!war crimes have been committed by bush and blair, there day is coming!
Like the US government gives a shit, the next war is in the making and it will be the same show as always - unless the people get active and intervene.
So, now what? Everyone has been saying that the war was wrongfully instigated since it started, now that the troops are withdrawn (mostly),Sadaam hanged, and military budget spent, this is a bit patronizing.
@peterb37 well the media is obligated to promote such propaganda, or the big businesses will cut their funding and shut down the media. Good thing for the internet.
@MustacheVerra Actually I have thought that about the media and the Government for most of my adult life. I will be 68 next month. I also worked in public information while working for the Government. I know that is foolish for anyone to believe anything whatever from the Government or the media. Period. I resigned my job in disgust in 1989.
@peterb37 The American Media is the government I believe. Everything about them is about Nationalism, Patriotism and Militarism.
Look at all of the Ex-Generals they depend on for commentating as well as Pentagon Spokesman like that lady CNN hired to work for them, or she just transferred over there.
I hope that all of my sinister thinking about our government and media is wrong but I know I'm not.
People want to say they are incompetent but I beg to differ.
@peterb37 The American media is a propaganda tool of it's parent companies who have a great deal invested in military contracts as well as deregulation, top heavy individual and corporate tax cuts and incentives, globalization, underemployment... Distractions, disinformation, framing, scapegoating, censorship by omission, scandal creation, etc are all propaganda tactics that help to preserve the status quo and mislead the masses by defining the debate. The 4th estate is a myth.
@peterb37 who are the media? where does the US get their weapons? who lobbies for these things? the corporations. Government and the multinational corporations are one in the same.
@peterb37 and not only fox news beat the drum, it was everyone; cnn cnbc msnbc abc hln cbs... it was sad. it was all lets go to war, country, flag, america, freedom and all that bullshit. not why would we attack iraq if they did NOTHING to us?
I'm glad we are finally getting the truth on record. Not that , in my opinion, most Americans still believe that their Government has their best interest at heart, and feel that there were good reasons to lie. What a pity.
At one time or another, prior to the start of the war there was sufficient information available and in print to see exactly what was going on. The problem is that seldom was any of it in the American Corporate Media.
'investigates' yeh. But our media are fairly silent about it and absolutely silent about critical analysis. The UK just has the sense to put on a show to appease people. I don't think we should give the government any credit for their closed door enquiries in which many of the people involved are criminals themselves.
Well, what do you expect...I never thought there were WMD's, and millions of other people did not also. It's about wanting to get your own way by "hook or crook", and lying and abusing one's power.
If there was any time where the belief in god would be questioned, it would be during Bush's eight years, and since. Looking at the world since then it's easy to be an atheist, and especially when the vocal Christians are such liars.
@Elin48 Sorry but i cannot stand stubborn stupidity. It makes me sick as most likely those are the cause of the mess we´re in. If s.o. at least tries to think and makes a mistake i´m perfectly fine with it.
But purely retarded pseudo argumentation just makes me sick.
Besides demanding the absurd from s.o. claiming the absurd isn´t realy that threatening, is it?
The US government, Democrats and Republicans alike, committed war crimes first by invading an innocent country and then in all that followed the invasion. The question is, are we subject to the law? If our war criminals are not brought to justice, and they won't be, what is our credibility going forward? My contention is, when we lost the "wars" in Iraq and in Afghanistan, we lost much more than just the "wars" in Iraq and Afghanistan. We lost everything.
@bammbamm12 investigating real motives? the real motives are in plain sight and it is not oil, the zionist necons actually never made a secret about it. go to my channel and watch: The Source of America's Wars - Kristol Clear
@argonium79 I watched your channel, if that's the real reason, then they certainly scored an own goal as Israel hasn't done very well out of it, if you look at how things are now for Israel. I am quite sure it has something to do with Saddam Hussain threatening to stop trading barrels in dollars though as this would have really hurt Americas economy.
@coltrane1966 things are very good for israel and they are doing very well out of it except iran acting more unpredictable than some people would have thought of them.
@argonium79 Not so sure about that with America's economy very weak and heavily in debt, international pressure on Israel to appease it's enemy, a surge in terrorism, the dollar at risk of being replaced as world currency, Arab countries not so afraid of America and a heavy panning in the media whilst Hamas are loved. I think when Iran get nuclear weapons, we will be at the point of no return.
@coltrane1966 they wont get nukes, it is useless for them, this is confirmed by every intelligence agency. the nuke debate is only to scare the public and gather acceptance for a military strike. the nuclear facilities only troubles israel because it will strenghten iran economically
Bush and Blair need to hang for war crimes and if Cameron and Osama Obama dont get the troops out, then they need to go to trial and be hung for continuing the War Crimes....Over a Million and a half People in Iraq have been slaughtered for oil and resources....I cant believe nobody gives a shit and all they do is sit on their fat arses watch TV and eating Junk food....
I have a lot of respect for Paul Jay some of his questions in this interview were redundant & asinine.
Why be surprised that President Obama adopted President Bush's narrative? Apart from the politics of it - Obama cannot even blow his nose without the GOP - but also because as Commander in Chief he must carry a sense of continuity of the mission for the troops, even if Obama was against it originally.
Paul Jay must know this but asks it anyway. Surely there are better questions to ask Paul!
@0PsycoDad0 God forbid you ever have children and if you already do may their seed never spread otherwise the world would be polluted yet again with lost cause uneducated sad sad people such as yourself.
@TheArabSultan - America shouldn't be in Iraq, no doubt, but you're a little late with the 'Long Live' for Saddam, I think? Even considering he was a CIA plant in the first place...
Even if irak would not have been a threat in any distant or immediate future, doesnt directly have anything to do with a possible threat from iran, a soon to be nuclear power. That's why honesty and openess is absolutely crucial in these matters. The U.S government now tarnished their credibility in a terrible manner, an dthe truth will now be buried under a thicker layer of garbage, which will be filled with iirrational conspiraciy theories and lies.
Just stop and ponder for a brief moment - What have these Neo-con, Bilderberger, Corporate lords ... whatever they are, whoever they are... what they are doing or what have they done to humanity? They have brought on nothing but misery, sufferings, deaths, corruption, famine, wars... through their greed for wealth, power, control over others... . There are unrest in Solmia, Congo, to name just a few. Why US, UK and NATO are least interested?
TRNN Let us never tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories! You have now a decision to make TRNN : Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists?!!!

Corporatocracy rules...

@underyourskindvd You are correct, democracy is just a screening to protect the corporatism and the atrocities committed in the name of (false)Freedom.

I think we need to use an old fashion word to describe some of our leaders.....
Traitors.
People who look out for companies and not the people of their countries are what I would call traitors
They usually use this word when they catch a spy... forget it, its more appropriate to use this word when you have sellouts running the country.

@underyourskindvd Read UN reso 1441. UN allowed P5 members military action based on article 7 of UN charter if Saddam didn't comply to the reso, which he didn't. Saddam did not support terrorism and him and AQ got a shit load of beef.

The American Media became a partner with the Government and help beat the drums of war while they willfully ignored the truth.
peterb37 1 year ago 57
@peterb37 well the media is obligated to promote such propaganda, or the big businesses will cut their funding and shut down the media. Good thing for the internet.
xchainlinkx 1 year ago 2
@peterb37 It's been like that for far longer than you think.
MustacheVerra 1 year ago
@MustacheVerra Actually I have thought that about the media and the Government for most of my adult life. I will be 68 next month. I also worked in public information while working for the Government. I know that is foolish for anyone to believe anything whatever from the Government or the media. Period. I resigned my job in disgust in 1989.
peterb37 1 year ago
@peterb37 The American Media is the government I believe. Everything about them is about Nationalism, Patriotism and Militarism.
Look at all of the Ex-Generals they depend on for commentating as well as Pentagon Spokesman like that lady CNN hired to work for them, or she just transferred over there.
I hope that all of my sinister thinking about our government and media is wrong but I know I'm not.
People want to say they are incompetent but I beg to differ.
These people know we are gullible.

The 4th estate is a myth.

pat442389 1 year ago
I'm glad we are finally getting the truth on record. Not that , in my opinion, most Americans still believe that their Government has their best interest at heart, and feel that there were good reasons to lie. What a pity.
At one time or another, prior to the start of the war there was sufficient information available and in print to see exactly what was going on. The problem is that seldom was any of it in the American Corporate Media.
peterb37 1 year ago
'investigates' yeh. But our media are fairly silent about it and absolutely silent about critical analysis. The UK just has the sense to put on a show to appease people. I don't think we should give the government any credit for their closed door enquiries in which many of the people involved are criminals themselves.
MarioSavioTZM 1 year ago
Well, what do you expect...I never thought there were WMD's, and millions of other people did not also. It's about wanting to get your own way by "hook or crook", and lying and abusing one's power.
If there was any time where the belief in god would be questioned, it would be during Bush's eight years, and since. Looking at the world since then it's easy to be an atheist, and especially when the vocal Christians are such liars.

But purely retarded pseudo argumentation just makes me sick.
Besides demanding the absurd from s.o. claiming the absurd isn´t realy that threatening, is it?
0PsycoDad0 1 year ago
The US government, Democrats and Republicans alike, committed war crimes first by invading an innocent country and then in all that followed the invasion. The question is, are we subject to the law? If our war criminals are not brought to justice, and they won't be, what is our credibility going forward? My contention is, when we lost the "wars" in Iraq and in Afghanistan, we lost much more than just the "wars" in Iraq and Afghanistan. We lost everything.
viruscauser 1 year ago 2

@argonium79 I watched your channel, if that's the real reason, then they certainly scored an own goal as Israel hasn't done very well out of it, if you look at how things are now for Israel. I am quite sure it has something to do with Saddam Hussain threatening to stop trading barrels in dollars though as this would have really hurt Americas economy.
coltrane1966 1 year ago
@coltrane1966 things are very good for israel and they are doing very well out of it except iran acting more unpredictable than some people would have thought of them.
argonium79 1 year ago
@argonium79 Not so sure about that with America's economy very weak and heavily in debt, international pressure on Israel to appease it's enemy, a surge in terrorism, the dollar at risk of being replaced as world currency, Arab countries not so afraid of America and a heavy panning in the media whilst Hamas are loved. I think when Iran get nuclear weapons, we will be at the point of no return.
coltrane1966 1 year ago
@coltrane1966 they wont get nukes, it is useless for them, this is confirmed by every intelligence agency. the nuke debate is only to scare the public and gather acceptance for a military strike. the nuclear facilities only troubles israel because it will strenghten iran economically
