I am getting very tired of being called. I haven't heard from them for a few months, but this morning I got a call from Window Technical Institute. I yelled "I don't even have Windows. Quit calling me," and I hung up. Immediately, he called back, and I said "what part of that did you not understand? " He started mumbling in Indian. I think I might have been hexed, or maybe he was praying for me!
lolol some guy named Shane called me. Exactly the same situation. He sounded Indian. Said he was calling from Sydney.
He said smilar things like "Mcrosoft has picked up that your pc has been sending error codes and im here to help" so i asked what my OS was. He said it was clear that the distress messages came from a Windows 7 computer .... i said "hmmm thats interesting, I only run Linux here" ..... *click*
This woman is NOT from the UK, they have called me before and said they were calling me from the UK yet the display said International, these rats are most likely calling from India or Pakistan, all they're doing is fishing for personal information, when they have gathered enough like your name and DOB etc, they can then pass that along to other "scammers" with a different scam.
Obviously NEVER give out any real ID, but try to keep them on the phone as long as possible, they pay the bill.
