I agree.. Robert is a genius..in 1983 when I first heard The Cure ( thank you, Lance, RIP) I had no way of imagining I would have The Cure loaded into an IPod in 2012.. a few years ago all I listened to was Indian kirtan (and The Cure), no I listen to Thai rock(and The Cure).. through the last 30years the one thing that has been constant is THE CURE.. Robert Smith puts into words what we all feel , but cannot express, then we say "why didn't I say that?" Robert Smith.. genius..I agree!

The one thing I love about The Cure's lyrics is that they can mean so many different things to different people. I have depression, and for me, the imagery of nature evoked in the song is something of a metaphor for how I get through life one day at a time.

This is definitely one of my favorite songs by them.
