@takanohana1 I just did an ICC 25 last night. My friend likes to joke that the only reason why I do good dps on that fight is because of my pestilence when blood beasts come up. By the end of the fight I had done 97% damage to Saurfang with 3% damage to blood beasts. So... you'd have to do roughly 30k dps for pestilence to add an extra 1k dps.

exactly, weapon dmg is the most importanst thing for a melee class to dps. Yea, i dont need Resilience in PVE but like you said, my pvp weapons have a ton more max dmg then my other icc weapons.

I have tried this spec/rotation and a few others, but I can never seem to get unholy to work. My frost dw and blood specs both do infinitely more, it jsut confuses me. I see everyone go blood, I see a few of the well geared ones do well, and yet I join an ICC pug and I come top with blood spec, whilst 4 other unholy DKs cry at the bottom of the meters. I have 2 parts t10/.5 and Bryntroll, GS almost 5.8k. What am I missing that is killing my unholy dps?

Dont lie around. common, what raid takes 5 dks and 4 of them unholy? it seems that you want to tell that youre the best, but you claim that your dps sucks, so maybe work on your rotation. On Boss Dummies you do less dps with Unholy, but full buffed unholy can pull out alot more dps. Atleast every spec is fine, but Blood sux at movement bosses. You have Bryntroll, look at my Unholy Guide für 3.3.5 (go to my channel and browse my clips).

with unholy/frost subspec you go haste. that means that you stay on strength in red gems but you gem strength/haste in yellow gems. backenchant 23 haste and so on =)

With no proc weapon but with 2p t10 or better, you would want to go 14/0/57 with reaping. Even without a proc weapon though 0/17/54 will pull ahead in some cases.

Well, if you ding 80.. try to farm the T9 Set and go Unholy (with blood subspec) - later, when you have good gear you can try out frost aswell or blood. you need to like the gameplay of the specs. look at my deathknight dps compendium for 5 different specs. all are good, but basically you have more advantages with frost and unholy then blood. blood is very single target based, on movement encounters blood isnt that great ;)
