weeks ago u must read this. once u have started there is no turning back. a little 10 year old girl was raped and murderded in 1945. her body was not found until 1947. then a boy last week read this and did not copy and paste this message. the dead girl appeared in his room haunting him and killed him. if you do not copy and paste this onto 10 vidoes in 30 minutes the dead girl will apear in your room tonight and haunt you and kill you. well you better start to
If you compare it with the other video of the same performance that exists here on youtube, you'll see that he has edited out the last 20 seconds of Bona's solo.
Pat Metheny dispensa comentários. Já quanto a Richard Bona, pensamos: o que mais ele pode fazer? Sensacional! Steve Rodby deve ter fricado com uma pulga atrás da orelha. Muito bom!!!!!
@bacoalves Hmm. And yet Metheny choses to play with Rodby a lot, probably more than any other bass player. Do you think Metheny is missing something? I doubt it, I think you are. You are confusing technical skill with musicality. I'm not saying that Rodby doesn't have great playing skills (he does) or that Bona is not musical (he is), but they are different. Rodby is more of a traditional jazz bass, who has the full set of skills to hold the group together throughout the evening. (cont'd)
@bacoalves There's more to being a great and well rounded bass player than what Bona shows in this recording. Bona is one of my favorites, and you don't see his full palette of skills (including keeping the rhythm going in the background) on this piece. But don't knock Rodby because he doesn't do solos like this one. Bona is an exceptional musician on a variety of instruments, but just because he is doesn't mean Rodby is not one of the best jazz basses of our generation
Esperova que o Bona fosse mais melódico conciderando o conceito jazz trio!!! Mas ele é monstro mesmo assim. O público não percebeu a finalização por isso. Mesmo assim é lindo ver alguem tocar com esta destreza!!!!
Amazing bass player. I love his sound his feel. And everything that he plays during his solo is wonderful; except that one riff that he plays (and I counted) 13 times! He plays it in every solo. The sooner he drops that one lick he'll go even higher up in my estimation!
I think you are thinking of the "chicken picking", well at least it's really similar on guitar where you sort of force harmonics by picking and then leaving the pick to double hit the string, in this case he's using his fingers not a pick but it's basically the same idea.
I am moved by this intense performance every time. if you ever listen to this performance in a non-youtube´d quality, you will hear the intonation, and the wonderful cymbal-feeling the drummer has. What a wonderful, ´break-beat- feeling he has. if there was only more of this music, Music is like information. if only the masses were able to comprehend this kind of art. anyway, im drunk and stupid, but i hope someone gets me
nuestro grupo favorito y sobre todo esta agrupacion con el gran richard Bonna es un maestro creo q el bajo de este tema es lejos lo mejor q e escuchado, es una fusion perfecta de sonidos entregado por los 3 instrumentos
THE EPITOME OF PAT METHENY is 2:17-2:35...Dude you knocked it out the park.

Damn...Antonio´s playing so busy on this one, the whole Piece feels like a Drum-Solo....bit too woozy for me! Great playing though!!!

He is stretching the string to produce a wild bend! More dramatic than a finger bend.

What is Bona doing up at the top of the neck (up by the tuning keys) at one spot in his solo?
