Doesn't matter what age you are if you practice everyday for 5 months, you will be able to play that.

When you are younger you learn faster and if you have the willpower to learn it then you will learn faster than an adult would.

I'm sorry, but whoever was teaching this kid is being just mildly irresponsible. The kid should be in a high enough seat so that she doesn't have to bend her wrist like that. That will disfigure her technique if she isn't trained out of it.
