  • Wow. 56 seconds.

  • haha i remember this. this was in 2001. i was playing video games and never thought anything about it. and then on the side walk i saw that it was cracked extremely bad.

  • OMG

    Watch that first Computer

    "The blue screen of death!"

and the 6nd computer on MSN xD

    Thumbs upp !!!

  • @GoldenShinigami and the logo on the 5th comp jumped on 4th in 0:52

  • I see this (I was at school in Kirkland when this happened, so I remember it quite well) and I only think about how this is just an aftershock in Japan right now. It's insane...

  • I remember that earthquake. I was at home. I believe the facade fell off of the Starbucks building during that quake.

  • "If you live right on the West Coast You need a Earthquake Kit"!! One for 2-4 Weeks, 48 hours is wrong, its a myth, Plan for much longer!! Read below!

  • Don't Pay $100's, even $1000's for Emergency Kit, but You NEED One: (1) Put into a Sack in a closet can food, soup beans so on, plus opener! You can eat can goods Without Water or Cooking! "Remember its Survival Food". Put some flat's of bottled water in the same Dark closet. (2) Get sleeping bag, blankets, few tarps, warm clothes. (3) For First Aid wash, cut up some old bed sheet's. (4) Some Tools, radio, flashlight, shovel, large crow bar, hammer, gloves, matches. Kit is for 2-4 Weeks!

  • has anyone seen the video on here of people on secuirty cam reacting to an earthquake in a building that's collapsing? I can't find it. There was falling debris, people running around panicking, being trapped suddenly, engulfed by massive dust clouds, people presumably dying on camera, blackouts, etc. It was horrifying.

  • woah. What magnitude was this?

  • @theleb4life 6.8

  • this crap is scary we just had a 6.0 magnitud one here where i live and its not funny stuff =/

  • Heheheh... OH yes was there. On radio was the LONG version of Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well"... the song never stopped.... after song was over... like 5 minutes later... the DJ (Gary Crow from KZOK)... came on and said, "Not even an act of God can stop Classic Rock !".... then he went to commercials.

    Too funny !!!

  • it scared me o.o

  • i remember that quake.. it seemed longer for us in tacoma and stelicoom, but i remember running outside and seeing the street rolling.. crazy

  • I was in class in Tacoma, WA Music class. The earthquake was so powerful the teacher was cursing and screaming for mercy. Franklin Pierce Highschool is in the middle of Tacoma (Parkland) So yes this is real.

  • el asiatico no parece asustado

  • That was not fake, that's really how the earthquake rocked, it was the craziest earthquake I've been through and it lasted almost a minute!

  • You CANNOT scare Asian people. Look at the Vietnamese War, see my point?

  • hahahaha i like the asian guy at 0:08 who's just like WTF?

  • fake , camera should dance same dance , but camera only thing is stable in the room .

  • @nabishka

Incorrect. This is footage of the Nisqually Earthquake on February 28, 2001. It was a 6.8. The epicenter was under Anderson Island, near Tacoma. Keep in mind there is some distance between Tacoma and Seattle, about 35 miles.apart. I felt it in Spanaway about 20 miles. Shaking was stronger and longer depending on elevation and how close to the epicenter.

Those in older construction and in unreinforced masonry buildings felt the shaking the strongest also.

  • @nabishka Fake? My big hairy ass! That's not fake. I've been though enough earthquakes to know what's real and what isn't.

  • sounds fake

  • @johnng417 - Nope, it wasn't fake. I was there, in Tacoma on Feb 28, 2001: There was a rumble and at first I thought a garbage truck had driven over a metal plate in the road next to my office then the shock wave rolled through - the S waves lasted for a really long time and it felt like the ground was rippling under my feet. A much longer event than was captured on film. Lucky that Tacoma sits on bedrock. Seattle was built on landfill and Olympia on clay, so they got the worst of the shaking.

  • What was the size of this earthquake and where was the epicenter. Just curious.

  • @SuperFlorida85 it was a 6.8 and it was centered on Anderson Island 32 miles below the surface

  • Lol just eating his burger....

  • I was standing in the Nisqually delta when this one hit. Where I was it shook for almost 2 minutes. Instantly I wanted to know if this was a big one that had triggered a lahar off Mt Rainier's Nisqually glacier which could burst two dams on the way down the Nisqually river and hit me in the Nisqually delta.

Fortunately for me Rainier only had a few little mudslides from this shake!

  • is this real?

  • @thecravenator42069 The more deeper the less violent it is, but last longer and is more wavy or rolling as compared to closer to surface quakes like the one in Baja California in April

  • WEAK Enough said I lived and went through the 1989 quake in ca and that kicked my but and tried to drop the roof on me

  • lol....it only lasted 22 seconds,i was counting

  • in ca we all feel quakes u get that wonder of how big is it and the fear corresponds to that

  • @mrpapafunky7879 Yup, everytime we get a good sized after shock I wonder if it will get bigger or trigger another one, like as week end, had a 5 pointer then 3 minutes after had a 4.7 , there is a lot of activity here especially from the northern end of the fault the main shock came from, I think we could have another big one from that end, I am thinking the main ruptured a portion of the upper fault and since it kinda, or looks to butt against the Yuha fault.

  • how strong was this

  • ive never had an earthquake

  • @DRILLSERGEANT13 BECAUSE i was sleeping :)

  • Ha ha ha, I live in Tacoma but the earth quake wasn't that bad when it was happening, you have to remember the camera was shaking too! When this happened only two things fell off the walls and that was it.

  • The Mexico California quake on easter hit south east AZ too. I live in the central valley, and our chandeliers and pool started to flip THE FUCK OUT! i was terrified

  • I was in the Keybank call center in Auburn at the time and we just rolled some dice to see how long our break from training would be. I had just bent down to get my purse and it started. I had been in 3 shakers before that, so I thought it would be over quick, but it just shook and rolled. I ran outside.

  • Haha Windows Blue Screen!

  • @MrVladTech Windows has detected an earthquake and it must shut down preventing damages on your system.

    XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • i`m just wondering what if Richter Scale has a number up to 100 and an earthquake would hit with 50 magnitude or highier what the degree of damage would sound like ??

  • Good thing this isn't security footage where the camera is attached to the wall, you don't see all of the shaking.

  • 00:23 big shake!!

  • WTF hes like "serious earthquake" when it started. bearly moving. I wonder what he must of thought when it was over.

  • am from the UK n am shitting myself watching this!!! We panic when its snows...so u r hardcore laughing this off!! A massive big up to u xx

  • the biggest earthquake I ever felt ( i grew up in Palm Springs) was one we had near Landers in 1992, it was a 7.3.

  • That was pretty big. I was in the 89 Loma Prieta and got tossed around a bit. Hit my head on this lamp which was like a brass bar hanging from the ceiling. It was like getting hit with a bat lightly in the head. But enough to give me a small bump the next day. My heart goes out to the people in Chili. And MrsSterl Oahu was slammed by a massiv tsunami in 1960 from a quake in Chili. 46 foot high waves. Not so cool

  • Haha I was only 5 when this happened. I had no idea what was going on.

  • MultiWhamBam earthquake in chile tsunami in hawaii today i live on oahu r there earthquakes before tsunamis cuz they r cool

  • He's having a shake with his burger.

  • @wilberswilbers HAHAHAHAHA

  • @wilberswilbers HA HA HA HA!

  • holy crap i hate earthquakes but i love them!!!!!

  • Am I seeing things or did the guy munching totally take his doughnut while evacuating? If so, that's a man after my own heart.

  • It must have been a Crispy Creme. Those are irresistible.

  • lol i agree

  • man ill never forget that earthquake. scariest day of my life.

  • my cousin been in an earthquake

  • I've been in 3. Thought they were fun til the Haiti disaster. Don't want any now.

  • wow! Then go to grand coulee No earthquakes there

  • OMG, I have been in 3 earthquakes, the biggest was a 5.6, it's so much scarier watching on videos, and it's scary as hell in reality. And I've been thru alot of storms floods, blizzard, almost getting swept to sea off the coast, watching MtSt Helens blow, there is no comparison. It feels like the damn earth is shaking.

  • Proof of Windows is "stable" 3rd computer from left to right stays "alive!" lol

  • lmao!

  • I guess they're going to be naming windows after earthquakes KULFV, so this will be Windows7, OH SHIT, that's the the most recent version of windows is 7.0!!!!!!!!

Same as the earthquake in Haiti, I need a drink.

  • bullcrap

  • dang dude, that was longer than the eureka earthquake

  • shit I wish one of the computers will fall and break but it didnt happened :(

  • wow dude.... real sane of u.

  • @EP1997 LMAO!!!! I was hoping the same thing...

  • they say if your near a bed, lay right next to the side of it because anything thatt falls from the celling is more likely to fall on the bed before you

  • I was only 7 when that happened. I remember running downstairs, all the kitchenware was falling, the pictures were falling, everything was falling.

  • it wasn't a big deal haha

  • then again i had it better then my disabled parents who were taking their whhelchairs to the grocery store at the time they were on the street!

  • it was real i promise i was in it tacoma, wa i was at elementary school almost had a tv fall on me :( not a pleasant experience

  • This was a Magnitude 6.8 centered in Nisqually, WASHINGTON. 1 death and 300 injuries. Some damage to buildings in Downtown Seattle, but the quake was 30 miles below the earths surface so the damage was minimized. Still the capitol building and the Alaskan Way Viaduct were damaged. And starbucks headquarters was almost destroyed.

  • what i hate the most is that they are unpredictable.Sometimes i wonder:there can be one now!,or even......now!

    now!

    and theyre quite scary also

  • i was like six or seven years old. i had no idea what was going on

  • i was 5-6 but i was in portland, orgeon and it was really weak over there

  • WOW cool. the com's still un use! HAHA

  • It shook me right out of my bed! i sleep on the edge anyway and was home sick that day!..I ran outside in my tighty whiteys!

  • I fuckin hate earthquakes they scare the shit out of me especially the 6.4 2 summers ago (I think)

  • i live not to far from there.......i was in 1st grade, and that was a hell of a shake!

  • It looks like someone was just shaking the camera. ( half real to me)

  • that was a real earthquake

  • ha i live in puyallup which is only about less than 10 miles east of the epicenter and the shaking was sooooooo crazy that my view was as if i was swinging my head side to side as far as i could go lol i cant even explain it but it was just a crazyyyy day!

  • a man said "that's a serious earthquake" at the very begining and then really DID get serious.

  • Never run for the elevators during a earthquake! just remain seated until its all over and finish your sandwhich.

  • The shaking was even worse where I was.

  • what scares me about earthquakes is they are unpredictable they can strike out of nowhere anytime anywhere

  • your windows copy is not genuine pls install a genuine copy or else i will level up your house

    best regard bill gates

  • windows has fail to load

  • Don't stand in the doorways during an earthquake!

  • Windows Fatal Error!!!! pls Reinstal

  • there's nothing like an asian masticating, the earthquake was just icing on the cake

  • lol masticating isnt rlly the right word to use

  • Yep, that's what they look like!

A doorway is NOT a safe place to be in a quake of this size. There happens to be a DOOR there, swaying and smacking you in the face, pinching you, etc.

If you're in bed, STAY THERE! If not, get under a desk or a pre-scouted place of potential stability where you won't be smacked by a door! Inside a car is pretty good too. Otherwise, keep your wits about you and stay away from windows and buildings. Wait for aftershocks to end before coming out if you can.

  • Actually, in most cases the door will not slam on you during an earthquake, and it happens to be one of the strongest pieces of engineering in the average house. If the door happens to be perfectly aligned with the direction of the seismic waves, THEN it may slam on you-but the chances are remote. A desk is the best place, but a doorway is a perfect alternative. I learned this in a CERT class from a fireman.

  • This was taken at microsoft in Seattle, I was scary and very real.

  • umm yeah, door ways are one of the safer places to be dumb ass

  • its gods way of turning off all screensavers just for heck.

  • gay

  • The weakest point of any structure is the center. So the doorway is the safest place to be.

  • did you know that going into a door way during an earth quake actully isnt a safe place. I dont know why people tell us that a door way is safe. it isnt.

  • and do the computers magically rock back and forth? as well as the wires?

  • well.....it's not

  • well..... thanks

  • My God, I live in L.A., I was only like 3 when Northridge hit and it happened at 4am but this..THIS is some violence I have never experienced

  • is that screensaver still up even after the earthquake? XD

im not sure if it is a screensaver or not

  • I kind of want to be in an earth quake. An odd thing but I do. Not a terribly bad one but one that is worth being in.

  • I've been woken up by earthquakes on a couple of occasions, being shaken awake, but I live in Taiwan so it's to be expected... I've experienced one when I was awake and it felt like I was dizzy at first then I realised that everything was rattling and swinging around...

  • I was only in an earthquake once and it was lame! I hardly moved anything.

  • haha

you should be happy it was a lame one :D

  • Your right! It is in Redmond. Yet. this quake was still scary. We were in Grays harbor!!!!11

  • my subwoofer does that to my house its good lol

  • Heh, I was in the library at my school. I still remember what the girl that jumped under the desk with me said. "It seems like an earthquake! It feels like an earthquake!" (The shaking really started here) "Yep! It's an earthquake!" Also they had these huge lights attached to chains on the ceiling of the library. Those things were swaying like nuts for a good 5-8 minutes after the quake. Scared me a little.

  • id b scared 2

  • I know from experience having an older computer. That if you shake it or otherwise hit it while it's running you can really fuck it up.

  • i was in kindergarten when this happened to me, it was soo crazy

  • Holy Shit:O

  • hahaha he walksw out with the twinkie!!! XD

  • lol i know right? so cute =D

  • holy shit!!!!!!!!

i've experienced a 7.4..... and believe me that is something u dont even wanna think about!!!!!!!!

  • This quake isn't in Tacoma. It's at the Microsoft campus in Redmond.

  • The guy didnt leave the twinkie behind lol

  • The Northridge quake was way more violent. The up and down motion from the blind thrust fault was insane.

  • i remember that. i was in school.

  • i remember bein in that i was in seattle

  • haha on one of the comp is css louding a serve r lol

  • it woould be scray but exciting.

  • i've been in one earthquake but it was no where near as bad as that......

  • I have lived all over the state of California for the last 50 years. I have been in dozens of earthquakes, some very major ones. Although I loved the sensation as a kid, they truely scare the shit out of me now!

  • imagine what the people in italy just went thru...i talked to a friend of mine in my home town...as we sent messages back and forth, another minor quake hit....they felt the major quake from venice all the way down to naples....poor people

  • Yes that is true and I feel very sorry for them, but imagine us in Cali, every few months we get a quake, I got one Yesterday twice and an aftershock today, And we get the big ones more often than everyone else.

  • Hei i come from Italy near Bologna...i remember that sunday night.... all around me quaked.... when the earth quaked i was on my bed togher my girlfriend my stereo and my tv felt underground....fortunately the quake was like 4.9 and didn't last long... but the worse it was in Abruzzo.... like 6.1 allmost house are destroyed and 300 peapoles are died:(:(:(:(:(

  • I have been in three earthquakes and they don't have a set pattern. Sometimes they start soft and get stronger, sometimes they start really strong like someone has taken the earth and shaken it out like a rug. One thingt they have in common: They are all shit-your-pants-terrifying.

  • I was in this earthquake. That's how earthquakes usually start dude. They start of small and then start rocking back and forth.

  • Heaps type of earthquake start like this and getting strong after some second.... stupid ass monkey!!!!

  • Heh Heh Heh! Looks like so much fun! Oh man, I wanna try that!

  • been in an earthquake.. not plannin 2 be in another!!

  • Scariest moment of my life was when I was in an earthquake..

  • I happen to be white and not in any of the categories of the people you hate....

I am so not impressed by you arrogance......

Take your 29 year old ass and jump off of the Space Needle..... make sure someone has a camcorder so they can record the "splat" for all of us YT viewers...

Now that would make my top 10......

Since you state you won't reply back than I can rest easy not having to fear your comeback comments.... (SIC)

    Rock on

    Jimbo

  • What year was this?

  • look in the description

  • THIS EARTHQUAKE WAS SCARY! My TV fell over, dishes broke, a night stand fell over, pan's fell from the hanger in the kitchen, 2 lamps and a vase fell over, the printer fell off the shelf, pictures fell and one bookshelf tipped over. I was in class when it happened, WAS CRAMMED UNDER A DESK FILLED WITH LIKE 5 PEOPLE!

  • the actual name of the quake was the Nisqually Earthquake... given that it originated in Olympia.

  • Omqq, that'sz scaryyyy ... !!

  • "NatesChannel" is either 1. Joking, 2. Serious... if he is serious then he misunderstands theology regarding judgement and salvation (didn't want anyone to go crazy and think this is typical Christian theology - because it is not).

*No one can argue that prayers do increase in times of difficulty :)

  • Being from Southern California its of course the norm that pretty much everyone is aware of quakes down here in LA but to actually see video footage of a big quake like that is really impressive to see balancing out the thoughts that while it was neat in one way I'm sure it freaked out folks and caused damage. Dont remember to much about that one so hope not too many injured !

  • This quake was a real experience .. it was pretty scary. I was in Olympia, 20 miles south of the epicenter.

I was in 8th grade at the time, inside a classroom. When the earthquake happened it came on quick, almost felt like a train impacting the side of the building.

  • This is some of the best footage I've seen to give you a real idea of what it feels like in a quake. Kind of random, kind of rolling.

  • he took his food hehe

  • thats fuckin scary , but also must be fun.

  • have you ever actually been in an earthquake? they aren't fun.

    dumbass.

  • dumbass

  • Dickhead, I don't cook on command. YOU get in the kitchen and make ME a fucking sandwich before I shove my boot up your dick.

  • I remember that earthquake. I was in 6th grade and I was on a field trip reading to the elderly. It almost knocked over my house. I live in Kelso Washington.

  • I remember this... I was like 5 att :O

  • Woah. Cool.

  • Man that's scarry!

  • I remember this quake. I grew up in Alaska and have been in gaint quakes. I was at work in Kent when this one hit - I dove under my desk before my co-workers knew what was going on. LOL.

  • Not a fake, I was in Lakewood, WA just a few miles outside of Tacoma and close to the focus that day and remember it well. I was at the library at the time and helped pick up books that had fallen to the floor.

  • ROLFLMAO an asian eating a sandwhich caught on camera

  • you could see little aftershocks there cool stuff!

  • dood! you could hear it rumbling.....

"the earth moved, darling. were falling apart here"

  • ha, you can hear someone at the begginging say whoho when its just a small earthquake, i am sure there being sarcastic, then it really turns into being a big earthquake and hes probably like oh shit......

  • Nope!

I was in portland at the time, and felt it clearly.

  • Maybe fake, but I doubt it. If this was in Tacoma, they were only a few miles from the epicenter. This earthquake, 6.8, was the strongest in the Seattle area since 1965.

  • how was it fake?

  • oh honey its wasnt fake it was fun!

  • I lived in Darrington at that time (Darrington's a small town in washington) and it's about 120 miles northeast of Tacoma.

Of course we felt it and the ground look like a wave!

  • Wow I live in California and that looked pretty harsh it's a good thing it was short!
