Hey man, great video! You can actually hold it aganist Shin Gouki pretty well. I remember back in the day, when this game hitted the arcade in a projector-style screen (characters would look the size of a person!) the best players where spending token after token tryin' to beat this beast.

I'm giving this game a go on Kawaks, and wanted to know how do you do to fight aganist him?

Is he the final boss, or you have to meet certain criteria to find him?

lol this reminds me of myself when i dedicated an entire day playing that game in my ps2 just to memorize all of akumas strategy and moves so i can get used to it and defeat him,astonishingly it worked :D i love street fighter so much i hacked my psp and put in a snes,cps1,cps2,and a cps3 emulators with street fighter games in them (cps3 runs extremely slow D:) i also downloaded all the street fighter movies and watched the anime street fighter 2 v. akuma is kick ass 天 <3

@Odbarc It's very hard to time. If you're even a frame (1/6 of a second) off, he will shoryuken your ass for 65% damage. The hard kick is a much safer counter because it has a long attack frame and hits twice for decent damage.

fastest and highest damage normal is more reliable. the comp likes to mash dp if u attempt any combo, especially shin akuma , he can mash it out between ur strings or throw u for no reason.

Here you can see the FIRST SHUNGOKUSATSU ever. I would have loved Akuma to say "Shoushi" after it XD

It's a shame that Akuma cannot actually perform the Raging Demon during combat, but that would have made him a ten-times-godlike-badass. In fact I've never been able to beat Akuma in this version of the game. He has grown weaker and weaker in every edition. I usually have a tough time reaching the end without losing a round, and when I manage to do it, I get trampled :P

I remember how he was in SVC Chaos. If he got you into the edge of the screen, you were fucked for that life. You would throw fireballs at you from inches away, he would never jump, he would always block high attacks, and every time you tried to attack him from down low (even as a counter) he would unleash a super on you before your attack animation even started.

I can't imagine how many quarters I plunked into the local MVS before I said screw it and started playing to win by the clock.
