I got a offer of my friend i can either buy this Burton X8 09 board of him with the cartel binding for 450$ Or i can buy the Lib Tech TRS BTX (154) with the triad binding for 450$. What is the best offer.
I like park and freestyle alot. But i think the X8 got boring graphics. But on the x8 u got the new EST bindings.
The lib got way cooler graphics but got the old schoole attachment. And the triad got better cushing than the cartel. Both of the boards is 154 and large bindings. Best offer?
I honestly don't know that much about lib tech boards but i do know that the 09 X8's with cartels for 450 it's a pretty good offer money wise. (That's assuming that everything's brand new.) And to be honest, I've had 2 different boards in the past 5 season's (aside from my first crappy K-mart board) and anytime you buy the board based off it's graphics instead of tech. you'll be sorry later on. Also, might wanna be careful with 154 and large bindings. Honestly, see if he'll let you test em out.
@Nuge2008 U got a good buy, but if I had to buy the set new, i would have to give 2000$ and I live in norway! All ski's and snowboards are so expensiver here!?!? And norway is a ski country??
@Nuge2008 Thanks for you help! I got the board with the cartels. Just bought some EST cartels. For 100$! BRAND NEW! And thanks for your help @PortersLars for helping me finding the right size boot for my board and my binding!
actually it might have been the 2008 andy finch it had the honeycomb, carbon tip to tip, with the comic graphic and they dumbed it down for 2009 so i got the burn cause i was equal in quality.
i didnt mean to rip on them i actually have some customs on a 2010 palmer burn that i got for free when i snapped my 2009andy finch pro model :( i got it in february its pretty dope. But yeah the triads are good but the harsh mellow is pretty nice :)
lol um triads in the park ????? why would you do something like that... not to much flex there... sorry they are good bindings but to be honost id go with something from k2 the autos are sick with the harshmellow it takes out alot of vibration in your ride and takes away impact on big landings saved my knees alot matched up with some K2 T1's also with harshmellow and intuition liners makes for the comfiest most cushoned ride i got bad knees and the response is also amazing you should check it
do your homework first... the Triad is one of Burtons most cushioned bindings and many guys ride them in the park.. any binding can be ridden anywhere there are no real Park classification its more the flex level and responsiveness that determines what the binding might be best suited for . K2 Bindings are equally as good and harshmellow does help.
you need to look at waist widths... anything over 249mm will work with a large binding however a size 12 boot will get toe drag until you get into 255mm and higher unless you have some really good stance angles.
you have to look at them, i have a burton custom x 158 and until you bring your boots and bindings in you cant realy tell. i have size 12 ride anthems rocking with the custom x with cartel est gmp bindings in large and if you have some duck and a 22"+ stance, your smooth sailing
How is the flex of this board? Is it a good board for doing butters end the rest of the funny things? Is de Burton FIX more noodle? Witch board is the most noodle of all you have drivin?
im looking at buying a board thats great at the park but also one i can just bomb down the mountain with i want a board that dose both what do you think the best board
a buddy of mine rode his X8 for everything last year and loved it.. but you could get away with a Custom but the X8 is a great park board might feel a little soft for all mountain.
wow this guys a goof

the 2009 isn't a reverse camber board nor does it have mtx so where is the rip off?

What size boots do you have and do you get any toe drag? I wear a size 12, do you think my toes will drag at all on this board?

djricos4you 3 years ago
It's a little softer than last years x8. It is probably around the same amount of flex as the FIX without the reverse camber.
