  • Hey Haters, just because Simon and Garfunkel don't feature Kid Cudi doesn't mean you click the dislike button, it means you need to listen to some real music...

  • @Nosanity24 Real music? That's like trying to define "normal".

  • @el3m3nthorze true, but most of Kid Cudi's music is fast word play, where as this is difinitive chord structure and actual notes, but yes its a matter of opinion, but if it's negative towards this music, then I can express my opinion to tell people not to post negative remarks toward the music.

    Thanks!

  • Always makes me cry and I just don't know why.... can't stop listening t it... damn this song is amazing... it touches my sould and sounds right through my heart...

  • This song was actually used for an example of counter melody in my music class today. Never knew the term for it, but now that I think of it counter melody is used to absolutely beautiful effect in every song I know that uses the technique. This still has to be the best I know of though.

(FYI: the counter melody would be the parts that are put up in parentheses in the lyrics. A completely separate melody that runs under the more pronounced main melody without harmonizing with it.)

  • one of the most xtraordinry songs from 2 gifted artsts of all time along w/ john denvr ,don mclean etc...one of my fav. songs in the music industry...very beautiful lyrics as well as melody!

  • I want to download this song on iTunes, but it's a different ver. The one on iTunes has too much going on in the song.

  • @Southparkdragon go to mp3juices it is on there. You can download it from there and convert it to itunes.

  • katethegreat19's version is better with the woman quartet.

  • This is the Scarborough Fair / Canticle version. Amazing song!

  • This songis too peaefull to be angry on the 11 dislikes ..

  • I like this song.... When i first listened to it, i thought it was a group of friends who also like the fair... But it was a group of herbs.

    Pretty song!

  • My ABSOLUTELY favorite song in the hole wolrd. Love it SO damn much. thank you. cry everytime, when i'm listening to it.

  • Im 16, and I think this song is so amazing.

  • @GackSlayer Why does age matter?

  • @MRFgames Apparently, to some people, my generation has only a taste in what people call "shit" music.

  • brilliant simply brilliant

  • goosebumps much?

  • It skips 3:08

  • Best Song EVER!!!!!!!

  • the perks of being a wallflower

  • cat stevens was awesome

  • I think this version is not Simon and Garfunkel's.

Even this is good. S&G's is a lot more better.

  • So haunting.... I love it!

  • i work at shows & fairs all over the place & it reminds me of girls i have meet. love listening to it. its deep, clever & very meaningful. i love 2 drift off listening too it

  • It really transports me to times, that will no longer return and they have left forever

  • This song is really good...it's way better than the songs we have nowadays...it makes u beleive in magic

  • this is a very strange song, it has a living magic inside but I think it sure the composer made a potion mixing parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme to bewitch this beautiful song that is why it is nº 1 in the charts from the middle ages up to now.

  • I remember my dad putting this tape on in the car when we went on long journeys. Still just as good now as it was then.

  • (this song make me sleep!)

  • It's just two different songs put together, but I like this.

  • @NaegaJayo

    It's a duet.

  • I LOVE this song! Oh and guys, stop arguing about what the lyrics mean and sit back and enjoy this beautiful song. These days, you don't get many songs that wow you like that.

  • a wonderful song for playing with my guitar! <33

  • It's my dads account

  • You both r stupid no it was the pledge that killed many people they used parsly rosemary sage and tyhme to cover up the smells they used cloth with no needle work to bury the people who died his lover died from the pledge he means do all those things on the other side. even I know that and I'm 12 we learned it in music.

  • @horsessexable

YES, as a reference to the black plague but there are other beliefs you could have learned in music class as well, such as it was also believed that the four herbs were a love charm Parsley for lust, Sage for wisdon, Rosemary for remembrance and Thyme to make her irresistable to him.

  • Three best songs ever composed Scarborough Fair, Piano Man, and Requiem for a Dream

  • Roger Whittaker did a nice version to this song

  • fuck all fakers.burn in hell ,i ll fetch the wood...

  • Its amazing how you can get songs wrong in your head. For example I thought that they sung " Sweeps far away from the calling of God" and " There goes the child of the mountains" and " Chasing the starlight on snowcrested ground" I am a bit disappointed because I believe that the words I believed sounded much better, now I know the trurth now the song sounds a bit more bland.

  • @zakalon123

DO you know what the lyrics mean??

It's of a young man who is telling his listener to tel his former lover of several impossible tasks and if she completes them, only then he will take her back. In other words, he'd never take her back.

  • Very nice, but this isn't even Simon & Garfunkel singing... you know, just a blah rendition of a really beautiful song....

  • i love going to Scarborough with my dog and seeing my uncle

  • Are you going to Olpe town... remember me for I won't be there, to the one I#ve loved and lost long ago

  • This is a fantastic MUSIC ... I like it!
