  • Is religion part of the ego too?

  • @warmsteel yeah the way i see it is a big part of ego

makes 'you' attached to something, different, gives you a reason to fight against people, gives you a set of rules that don't make sense (sry if this attacks your beliefs i understand them) and probably gives you pain when your beliefs are attacked or thrown down

it also adds lots of filters and fear that you don't need and makes you intolerant...also most religions perpetuate the idea of free will, which doesn't really exist...

  • the ego is our conscious self it is the rational the logical the part of us tells us not to think with our heart the part that worries and fears it is fed from our need of the material the external not from with in it seeks approval from the external world for comfort and recognition and with our true selves don't.

  • i didnt know what video to pick to ask this question....is there hell...real hell realm wher ecreatures dwell...not metaphoric or state of mind thing...real hell? buddha supposedly said there was....and that it is the most inhabited

  • Your words are wise and true...thank you.

I know I experienced 'no-mind' at least once in my life (about 10 years ago) while in a deep sleep...I felt such happiness, love, peace, bliss, excitement, etc. that I had never felt before. It was hundreds of times deeper and better than alcohol (sober for 12 years now), pot or cocaine (not tried either in 30+ years). I mentioned it to my spiritual counselor and he told me that this happened because my mind was 'relaxed'. 'Mind relaxation' = good!

  • why to remove ego its nice to have ego if there is no ego there is no reason for the world to exist we all could go to the bright light and stay there forever and it was like this for very long until bright light got bored and created the worlds and shreded himself in countless egos to sent around to become miracoulous cretors and continue the work of creation ego have a point to exist as long as you have ego you have the opurtunity to become god just stay in good terms with the bright light

  • @HAMENOS2FORES3 Your comments are clear signs that KALI YUGA is almost over.

  • @HAMENOS2FORES3 and i hope that is just your ego talking, the ego will destroy everyone around it, and then itself. this is not the path for us as Be'ings. idk about you but if you truly believe the ego should be around me and you shall go to war soon. im not saying I will win, but we all know the victor.

  • @HAMENOS2FORES3 "The moment you become aware of the ego in you, it is strictly speaking no longer the ego, but just an old, conditioned mind-pattern. Ego implies unawareness. Awareness and ego cannot coexist."

    — Eckhart Tolle

  • The secret to enlightenment starts from the root chakra.Sexual fluid is the key to all chakras.Let it build up and it will travel up the spine by restraining yourself from spilling.Sexual fluid is called prana in sanskrit.People masterbate and lust, that is there problem to there ego.Do what everyone does not do,starting from yourself. That is the teachings of everyones cultures religion but it got twisted.

  • I believe I have moments of "No-mind" when I do things that involving little thought for me. I find this place in my head where my conciseness dissolves for a while. When I awaken from this state I know that I was doing something, but I can't remember it. I think this is "No-mind", my martial arts instructor calls it "the zone" or a "perfect state of chi" which is where I perform at my best, I guess I can call it "No-mind" as well.

  • @CountRobVonRolf "So, is a "no-mind" state permanent and void of consciousness?" .... THe no mind state is like when things come easy in life because things "just happen"....kind of like when you meet a person and you just click. But then there are times when you think too much and it makes you frusterated and you cant accomplish what you want. No mind allows you to live life more fully.

  • Thanks for the wise counsel you give

  • you dont understand.. its not a void of conciousness it is actual conciousness. that inner dialogue u constantly have inside ur mind distrats u from REALITY and free your mind from being controlled by that little voice in ur head.

  • it means that you stop internal verbalisation of thoughts and neurosis and just act completely in the present state (your intellect remains and works better without distraction). You will be more you, i think you may be very familiar with your ego as i am and find it hard to know what it would be like without it.

  • What we are trying to do is to free ourselves of the prison our mind creates for us. If we live in the mind we are living in the restriction of the mind ( Rules, Judgments, Opinions etc.)When we are talking about a "no-mind" state we mean liberation. Liberation from all the invisible prisons we allowed ourselves to believe in. There is nothing wrong with thinking or being in the mind, however we should never fully LIVE in the mind. For when we LIVE in the mind we cannot be true free individuals

  • @mrgiggleszz well put! I think of the mind like a calculator, handy for some things but you cant work everything out with a calculator! Put it down sometimes! Use it but dont use it ALL the time.

  • @mrgiggleszz well put! I think of the mind like a calculator, handy for some things but you cant work everything out with a calculator! Put it down sometimes! Use it but dont use it ALL the time.

  • @tegid699 yeah the calculator can only calculate what you think should go in there. It's good at calculating but you have to have a broad enough perspective to know what numbers to put in there for it to calculate. The heart knows the right numbers, we have to listen to it first.

  • can u be in a "no mind" state while talking or in a conversation?

  • no.

you need your mind to translate what you wanna say into words so that someone can understand you.

mind is an useful tool while in society, but one does not need it while being alone.

  • Mind is just happening, talking is happening, but still you always are and have been the silent observer.

Talking, thinking, resisting, everything is observed and experienced from the no-mind state. It does not matter if the mind is quit or busy, that's just another thought.

    Let go!

  • we are here to live.... not to die.. live die.....at least for one life...can you guys ever say how to live life happily with out a break ejoying because ur living not because ur away from it,,,,,,,,,,if ur away from it whats the whole point of life given to this body through my parents?? plss gimme a break if mid would have been old then the world would been only on organic, no wars no religion,, just happy LIVING SO LIVE IT DONT HARM OR HURT ANY OF IT NOR ANYONE.

  • "As soon as your 'I' drops your neurosis disappears" ... thank you

  • its funny how amazingly tainted we are with ego I mean even everything im saying now is carrying ego in it . Al we know is the ego

  • ivan,,,you dont understand at all...

  • are there ppl that neva wake up n die ?

and can you wake some one up or u have to let them go on their own journey?

i know some ppl that r suffrerin and i m wonderin if there is anything i can do?

  • All "no-mind" state is, is relaxation and clearing your mind, consciously stop thinking about anything, as though nothing is important to you for a while. Nothing mystical about it, takes practice though if you're not used to relaxing properly. Most people's idea of relaxing is watching the TV (in the west anyway), which is actually being entertained, not relaxed.

  • yea...just stop thinking altogether and living. be as a rock.

  • I once meditated to the point where everything started moving in slow motion.

  • yes that happens, if you keep going you'll realize time is all a perception within and separate from self it is infinite in one point state. All breath is one shared collective as is the soul. This body is just a rental/vessel. Fuck ego the world made us lose true understanding.

  • The best thing about the no mind state is that no one can read your mind.. (hehe just a joke...) ;-)

  • "The Power Of Suggestion Can Be A Dangerous Thing In The Hands Of An Egotistical Person."

Can you tell us your thoughts on this quote please?

Also, do you believe that "ALL" men are equal?

What is happening when a "Guru" has sexual relations with a person who is of "Lesser" origin than he?

Thank you for your response on these questions.

  • Thank you for the excellent video. The only issue of concern is, how does an individual deal with other people who are aggressive, while also not involving the ego? Without revolutions for example, women and black people would not have rights, so sometimes isn't it okay to involved the ego when it comes to important issues?

  • Non violent social reformation, like with Martin Luther King Jr., Jesus, or Gandhi. Non-violence is used to bring important issues to national attention through peaceful protests and speeches. It makes these issues impossible to ignore, as everyone can sympathize with the underdog. Everyone can feel for the oppressed.

  • @iloveterriers if no one had an ego, everyone would have equal rights and thus no problems =)

  • @iloveterriers when other people are driven by their ego and insult you, you wish to defend oneself and insult back? that is only the nonsense of our ego, you must realise it is not them who is attacking you, but their ego feeding, asking your ego, hey, why dont you join me? words are labels and only have the power you give them. it is up to you on how you act, and up to them how they do.

  • @iloveterriers Exactly my point as well...but, we can let go of ego (hatred, anger, etc.) because when we show anger and hate, we give away our power and are consumed by the anger. IMHO the way to change current injustices is to show love towards those who have wronged you because they have now given you the power to change things. IF you get angry, they have the power.

    (PART 1)

  • @iloveterriers (PART 2) I have recently experienced the change in my life when I renounced very deserved anger and hatred towards the Family Law system. This anger consumed me in the past years and I could not function because I gave them the power.

Now I thank them and love them for screwing up so negligently which gives me the power to take on the system and change a little bit of it.

Since my change in perspective...EVERYTHING in my life is going 1,000% better.

    DoLifeNow without ego!!!

  • @iloveterriers: Ego is good, if, however, you are in control of it... But if you live under ego, enlightenment becomes a thing that will never be achieved. Be aware of the ego.

  • Since men are said to be more ego-oriented, as some have said throughout history, does that mean then that men need to work more on their ego issues?

  • Do men like myself have ego issues? Certainly not, just because I like to pretend like I am a king and have ladies dancing around and feeding me grapes doesn't

mean I have a an ego problem, I just like women and grapes. Hey it's nice that you like terriers.

    Best wishes Ivan

  • "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

Don't think of "ego" in a conventional manner.

"Ego" is a "sense of self".

Women absolutely have this. In abundance. They merely channel it in different ways. Bitching, cat fighting, revenge, etc are all consequences of a woman's ego.

  • @BladeRunner314 Thats why their ego must be tamed. I mean on a basic level we all have it. But to that extent, the ego must be stopped, and those women need to humble themselves if they want to spiritually progress, same goes for all of us!!

  • my thought on eckhart tolle's teachings are that they are a magnificent attempt at explaining a topic which most people would consider incomprehensible at this point in human existance for 90% of the human population. I think that what he says and how he says it is an art itself because its very hard to explain such a vast and controversial topic to such a large sum of people (especially through writing). I think the man is a brilliant writer. those are my thoughts on the secret and eckhart...

  • I have a question, if you all don't mind: What are your thoughts on the recent book, "The Secret"?

  • lol or eckhart's new earth?

  • Yeah aha.

  • so are those your thoughts on the secret? come on lets hear it! seriously!

  • Thank You.

  • i have a question, actually more than onel but im only gonna put one here.

    my question is

"Do animals have karma, if so how can they get it???"

  • I was thinking similar things, if I remember right yogeesh stated in one video that animals also collect karma, but I was thinking how can one become human from animal stage? Are humans supposed to save animals?

  • When the soul is ready to be born as a Human, and the soul chose to in its after life. Then a new born human with animal past life. lol Ready in term of Karma.

  • i hear, being an Animal IS the karma.

you have certain cycles of sentient existences, if you dont awaken or be turned loose from animal instincts "egos" with any of the given chances in these cycles, you devolve, into more inferior species, and eventually into plants, then believe it or not a single grain of sand, right into a tiny atom.

go to Gnosticweb . com its a very good site for courses to help you with these things.

  • @7NIGGI7 Animals have souls too, they could come back as beings in their next life cycle...

  • Thank You

  • Indeed...He is a really wise man!
