  • you cant be telling me that there are no cats and foxes arround to plummet at the fishies.... i have never seen a vid showing how to counter that happening

  • @GossyNke Hi, thanks for commenting. I won't say that there are not cat or fox around because I have them in my backyard very often along with coyote, bear, deer, etc. But they do not go after my fish; however, I have a large bird, the great blue heron, that loves trying to eat out of my pond or any other pond it comes across. I have written on protecting ponds and will maybe someday do a pond protection video too. Thank for checking out the videos. PH

  • @ragnardanneskjold100 Hello! now going to India to build a pond would be great fun. when you are ready just let me know and I will hop on the plane with pleasure! Thanks for watching and commenting. Visit me on Face book, go to loveyourpond it is a great pond page, I hope to see you there too!

  • beautiful koi. how many gallons is that. the long drop falls are awesome.

  • This is approximately a 500 gallon pond. Probably a bit under 500. Thanks the falls are nice and they sound good too.

  • i was guessing more, it looks huge. great job, as usual. cant wait for more vids.

  • Aaaa... Can't help but watch the classics, When are some new ones going to be up? Spring i suppose?

  • Hey Arteom, I'll be cranking out a few during the winter once it slows down a bit. I will have some interesting projects posting for you to check out. But in the mean time I'm glad to see you checkin out the "oldies"... take it easy

  • whats the GPH? But anyways AMAZING!

  • I am using a 3000 gph submersible continuous duty pond pump.

  • Nice i will be using a 3900 GPH Magnetic drive submersible pond pump it will pull 2,800 GPH since my waterfall will be 5 feet tall! Will make a video soon! Thanks, you gave me great ideas along with pond market and The Pond Digger! Thanks All you guys!

  • You're welcome, anytime I/we can help let me know. Let me know how it goes for you!

  • Oh and F.Y.I. LOVE the way you do your stone on all your projects! I was going to leave my liner just regularly exposed but man does the gravel and stone combination makes it look so much better!

  • Hey Arte, thanks, not only does the gravel and rockwork make the pond look nicer it adds tremendously to the biological filtration of your pond. I deal with hundreds of ponds and across the board ponds with exposed liners are ALWAYS dirtier and cloudier or greener than ponds that have been installed with rockwork and gravel. DO THE GRAVEL!!

  • You know i will Mike you know i will! B.T.W. Names Arteom!

  • oh and do you recommend using a bottom drain for my 1800 gallon pond? I dug the hole but am waiting because i don't know if i need a bottom drain?

  • Hey Arteom! Do you NEED a bottom drain, NO!! There are definately times and places for bottom drains but I hardly ever install them, I consider them a liability for the outdoor pond and unnecessary. If you go to my website FAQ's I have a whole thing on Bottom drains and my thoughts on them, try to check it out. Let me know how you do.

  • Nice! Great info on your website! And about the recommended plants, Great, but i really think am going to get some water lettuce anyway, i really like the look of it!

  • I mostly discourage water lettuce and hyacinth for ponds with skimmers installed. I love both those plants, but they can be an issue sometimes.

  • My relatives have them they just made kind of a "pocket's" so they don't flow all over the place and the look really nice! They have the African water lettuce so their are HUGE!

  • perfect !!!

  • thank you for the compliment!!

  • very impresive, niceley done

  • Thank you, I really like this pond too!!

  • Hello Meso, funny you should mention that the koi look big. We have actually rebuilt this pond since the shootingof this video and the pond is now about 3X the volume it was, which will give a nice amount of room for the koi, but eventually the stock will have to be culled to allow for the choice koi to fully grow out.

  • Looks nice, but not much room for those big Koi.

    Thanks for sharing.
