I had the US version "Clash of the Bionoids" on VHS, the movie was censored, when I saw the original theatrical version dvd from Japan I was blown away, all animated no cg =^D
@1972ISAAC ^^^^^ Ugh don't remind me....I had that video as a little kid and it was my first experience of Macross....Although I fell in love with the series after watching it, it was all choppy and shit due to censoring. I'm actually glad I can enjoy the final fight properly this time. And hey at least I know that the main character lives in the end.. *i'm sorry...the clash of the bionoids was so vague that I always thought as a kid that the main character died in the end.*
wtf in this it's "The Protoculture" and in macross frontier it's "The Deculture".
..... :I

Don't know any other singers in Japan who can rival the singing of Mari Lijima.

i was born in 1966.
i was just at the stage before attending university when i watched this tv program.
it almost made me joined the army.
in fact i still want to be a naval aviator, which is of course not possible anymore.

I know that this is a really old show but, wow. I really have to say, that girl has a lot of guts singing in the midst of all this fighting.
I do sort wish that I grew up in the 80's, even though I'm a 90's child.
