Have you tried Slade s versions of Martha my Dear and Getting Better??? I think Noddy was a brilliant vocalist and could sing many styles.......just my humble opinion.

@thenewfella1994 Beatles had many many LULLABIES and CHEESY tracks, probably most of what they wrote was CHEESY. You don t have to find the Beatles were so great becoz public perception and the media tell you that. In fact they were overrated, I am not sayin they were not influential, of course they were and they had great songs too, but what competiton was there around in the sixties?????????????????????? Not much. Plus, Sir Paul has not really evolved after the Beatles except a few good songs.

@thenewfella1994 You maybe unaware that Slade outsold Genesis, Bowie, Queen, T-Rex and all the other "great" acts in the 70s in the UK and that many British acts have taken inspiration from or were influenced by Slade. The Clash, Queen, Quo, The Smiths, Kaiser Chiefs, Mr. Bowie, Mando Dao, an entire metal generation in the US. Etc. I sense the typical ignorance and prejudism in reading your slagging of one of the most influential UK bands ever, without listening to 200 tracks you don t know.

@thenewfella1994 Sorry if I do care about Noels opinions. I have studied the list of acts you like, the funny thing is, most of them are either inspired by Slade or sampled from Slade. Plus Slade were a big cultural influence.
To set your record straight try also Pity the Mother, Dapple Rose, Kill em at the Hot Club Tonite, Wondering Y, Gospel according to Rasputin, Could I, I remember, Roaring Silence, Walking on Water, Keep your hands off my Power Supply, Cheap and Nasty, Still the Same etc.

Do you know the 3 versions of 'My o My"??? in 3 different genres??? No. Slade s music had depth and they have really evolved over 20 years, unlike any music act, try the 3 last albums.

@lekezenman SLADE ALIVE is the best live show ever done! I could voted Purple's MADE IN JAPAN earlier, but got dissappointed IT'S A COMPILATION. SLADE ALIVE IS THE WHOLE SHOW ON LP. Good luck AC/DC, MOTOR HEAD, KISS, GUN'S AND ROSES, BON JOVI and all "that heroes" that will never reach SLADE.
