you call cutting baby branches and water bottles with a bushcraft knife is a test, you cant test anythign in yuor backyard, everythign you did a f1 can do with a knife like an a2 go cut a tree to post a video on how it tests
Sorry dude but you need to learn how to respect your knives a little more. Try to avoid hitting the ground with it, stabbing dirt can cause very bad chips. Never know if your gotta hit a stone. Many people make this mistake when cutting wood with there knife.
With a reliable quality knife there should be no problem. But Fallkniven stuff seems out of this cathegory. The idea of professional heat treatment of steels is to make it as hard as possible without being brittle. If it is hard but brittle at the same time you have nothing. Anybody can harden a knife to 59HRC if it's not required to be also tough at the edge!
A1 is 28 centimeters long while A2 is 32. A1 is 310 grams in weight while A2 is 370 grams in weight.
The only difference in design between the two is that the A2 blade is 4 centimeters longer. The width, thickness and the handle (size and shape) are the same. That's why the A2's only advantage is that it has more cutting edge length. In addition, I feel it a bit awkward because of being that long and too straight. The A1 I don't know how it is, but I think it feels better in the hand.
The leather and zytel sheaths cab be bought from fellkniven, i have a right handed leather id swap for a left if anyone is interested, my girlfriend bought me my f1 with a leather its awsome but being a lefty it bugs me. F1 sheath for swaps anyone? will swap my right for a left
Actually the steel is made in Japan. That's where the swedish people get their laminated steel and make their knives with it. It's a laminated VG-10 steel into the core of the blade which is made by Takefu company in Japan.

I agree with the others. Be a little safer when you use your blades. VG10 chips, be warned

Thank's
Yes i belive A2 is mor of a clean "chopper" and the A1 is more of an allrounder.
But hey, A2, drool.... i don't need one but i sure do want one... :-)
btw: Do you know where i can get a kydex sheet for my A1, have an "Zytel" know, it works well, but you know... kydex is nicer...
Thank's
