@MegaMaximodecimo It's because they weren't sure if the name "Duke Nukem" was copywrited by Turner Broadcasting and DiC from the villain in Captain Planet. But it turns out it wasn't so they changed the spelling in later releases and installments. They also changed his shirt from pink to red lol.

@ImAFreaknFreak That's because you are not an old time gamer or you just got used to new games. Old games can still be easily apreciated by those who prefer gameplay over the graphics, for example: Many prefer GTA SA rather than GTA 4.

This sure takes me back. i use to play this game in early grade school. NOSTALGIA ALERT!! Seriously, this game, Commander Keen, Captain Comic, Jill of the Jungle, Secret Agent, Monkey island, and Treasure Island (Yes a actually liked a learning game oh BIG SHOCKER :P) are just some of the gems that I remember playing in my youth.

I had this game, it was one of the first PC games I ever played (and by PC I mean IBM PC... I started out playing games on Apple II's, lol). I never played DN2, but I played the hell outta DN3D and can't WAIT for DNF to come out... And I'm a registered playtester for Gearbox, so there's a good chance I'll get to playtest this soon... already had an invite to one session but I had to skip it.

Duke has three new games out, and a Duke film in the works for an estimated 2011 release AND 3D Realms is still looking to our source Duke Forever to a 3RD party for completion. Its not like the Duke IP just dried up.
