One thing I like about larry more then other players...that when he's game opens up, he plays well the entire game, and there are chances of playing spectacular, score many points, and play arround type of game that creates opportunitties for teammates as well, and can carry the team towards victory, great mix.
@largec he never had value....he was terrible......we basically traded him for cap space cause he sucked.....couldnt do anything score pass defend.....was the the biggest waste of money ever
He was actually pretty good his first few years with Philadelphia, and was a solid contributor and role player playing alongside Allen Iverson. Once he got traded, things just went downhill from there, he was heavily criticized for being inconsistant.
@largec then he got to cleveland and was the worst investment in basketball.....do u realize how bad a player has to be to not be better playing with lebron.....Hughes is a joke
I agree, Hughes is a joke now, all the media hoopla he recieved put so much pressure on him that he was unable to live up to the expectations, so he pretty much fell back and milked the money and the fame instead. That's really the sole issue with these players these days, their focused more on the money and fame more less then the work that follows with the job.
@largec why dont u wait till sumone actually wants to pay u that much for anything to make any judgments about anyone...hughes is still sick n hes better than youll ever be so why dont u shut ur yap
my bad, I meant wizards and golden state. besides AI averaged 31 ppg and 10 assists in '05 and also developed and played along other stars(who kept great stats) such as Mutombo or Iguodala
not really, in chicago he had career high in 3pt% and over 40% in fg. He was also a great player for Wizards, Sixers and Golden State. Besides he is a great defender too
He's a very good perimeter defender, I'll give him that. And I really don't know how good he was for other teams before C-Town but he had to be pretty good if Ferry gave him that huge contract. However, he really stunk in C-Town. Maybe it was the system he was in, maybe. But one thing is certain, the Cavs are better without him.
@Piotrasdabadman91 Lebrons feild goal % is so much better then hughes.....right now Lebron is the best player in the NBA averaging 30 7 and 8.....meanwhile larry hughes cant get off the bench to play for the knicks.....hughes sucked and will always suck
Hughes only started to suck when he came to cavs, before that he was scoring 20+ppg and lead the league in steals, besides Kobe is the best player in the NBA right now, hands down. he already hit more game-winners then Lebron had in all of his career
@Piotrasdabadman91 kobes been in the league for about 5 more years.....LBJs 24......its not like the cavs have the best record in the league are on pace to win 65 and have won 9 straight despite the fact their first and second string point guards are hurt.......Larry once again cant get off the bench to play for the knicks......theres a reason the cavs didnt get anything from the bulls when they traded him to them.....its because he sucks
@Piotrasdabadman91 then on top of the fact he couldnt shoot...as evidence by his 2 of 26 game against the nets in the playoffs and the 6 footer he missed against the piston with no one around him.....hes also made of glass.....hes never played a full season and misses about 25 games a year.....but he sucked when healthy....he was benched in the playoffs for a guy who is curtly the cavs third string point guard
@Piotrasdabadman91 Lebron james is one of the most passive players in the NBA despite the fact that he could take more shot because he the best player in the NBA.....he averages nearly 8 dimes...the reason larry hughes sucked in cleveland is becasue larry hughes....do not try to say that lebron never gave hin chances because right now williams averages 19 playing with LBJ...larry hughes once went 2-24 in a playoff game when LBJ would feed him and he couldnt hit anything...he sucks u dumb fuck
@Piotrasdabadman91 Lebron is the most passive player in the NBA and averages 8 dimes....hughes just sucked.....larry hughes career was summed up by the wide open 7 footer he missed in game 2 vs detroit in 07
lol, most passive? first of all passive in its correct use is the opposite of active. Second of all how is he most 'passive'? Has D-Will, CP3, J-Kidd, S.Nash, Wade etc. retired already for you to be calling that ballhog most 'passive'. How can he not be a ballhog when last year he took over 1/4 of all the shots the cavs attempted of 2009/10. Lebron's career can be summed up with his game-winner 3 against the magic- overhyped and meaningless in the long run.
@Piotrasdabadman91 lebron averages 30 a game and 8 fucking dimes....hes the most unselfish play in the league.....and ya it fair to compare his number to point guards...he has better stats then wade.....he has beaten kobe head to head twice once with out his second best play....but u know the fact that every one associated with the league saying hes the best player means nothing.....if hes so bad y r they on pace to win 65 and have the best record in the league...btw rockets suck
Unfortunately no. Larry never reached his potential in my opinion but I think he was huge in their success n huge in them making the Finals a yr ago. His D is some of the best in the NBA n he played the PG solid to. His size was huge for them at the position. He is very athletic. But I can c y u say it was good trade cuz he never reached his potential. Larry could easy be an elite star in the NBA. Dont know if we will ever see that tho. he could be a great scorer if he continue to grows.
@VeoShock he hs nothing to do with cavs in the finals that was 300% all lebron.......when game 6 came around and they were triple teaming lebron he was benched for gibson cause hughes couldnt hit a shot.....then they benched him for the last two games of the finals after because tony parker wouldnt stop running circles around him....he sucks and had nothing to do with that final....all lebron
u r talkin as if Hughes' career started with cavs. before cavs hughes was nice with it, including his shooting, he averaged over 20ppg in one of the seasons and also had a nice thing going in 76ers with AI.
@Piotrasdabadman91 yes and since then hes either sucked or been hurt......he never averaged over20 with the 76ers his high there was 16 and for the 7 years he has averaged 12 points.....he was a bust in cleveland and was over hyped in phili and DC....he did and always will suck....and his shooting was never good he shoots 30% from the field for his career
@RDS4Life he can never stay healthy and never played a full season in the nba cause he was never healthy.....averaged 20 pp once and once again didnt play that whole year cause he was hurt....while playing with the guy who is 6th in the nba in assists he averaged under 15 and shot round 40%....he was a bust and will never be good...he couldnt get off the bench to play or the knicks who have 26 wins
yea, Wally is a good shooter n I wish Ben was the Ben we seen in Detroit, dont know if Father time is catching up with Ben or not, but he isnt what we r use to seeing. But like u said, if he plays like the Ben in Detriot, the Cavs could be alot better no doubt. Kind of make u wonder if it was better for the Cavs to keep Drew Gooden instead of Ben u know.
Yeah but hughes was injured too many games...Gooden started well the season and ended playin keptchup while he was a cav...Hughes was way too inconsistent while in the court...and the suddenly they got better at chicago...Ben should try as hard as he can this season..Though now cavs have Mo Williams
Yea, that is true about the injury bug with Hughes. I believe he felt Lebron was the main option n got nervous about doing his part of the scoring. I could be wrong there, but that is what I believe cuz he was like that with A.I. to. If A.I was hurt n didnt play, Hughes would have a great gm. So dont know if that was y Hughes never scored alot in Clevlands. Gooden was a good rebounder. Offensivly he isnt good in my opinion. N yea, Hopefully Ben gets on track again. Cavs need that.
lol i have autograph of him he was at westfield mall today at the Apple store and me and my friends got an autograph! :D its awesome! Date:September 14 2008 remember that

Can Larry re-ignite the Knicks as well as his Career now that he's a New Yorker?
BKNYx43 3 years ago
Larry's career stats were much diminished in Cavs because James was ballhogging too much. Hughes used to ba a star player for sixers and wizards
Piotrasdabadman91 3 years ago
sixers had allen iverson and dont tell me allen iverson wasnt a ball hog lol

Larry killed the Cavs with all the retarded shots he took. He literally set us back 3 years with his crap play.
ButterflyWars 2 years ago
when Bron was ballhogging it was obvious Larry was willing to take any shot. besides he still had a better 3pt% then lebrick
Piotrasdabadman91 2 years ago
That argument doesn't make much sence since he's done the same with Chicago and now with New York.
