The intro is so long because it really is a remix of the original, which rips as well but has a lengthy intro... Just don't shatter your ears with jaw dropping awesomeness.

A song like this needs an intro like that. A song is never usually that much more epic without a long intro, it makes it that bit better when it does drop. This song just smashes that point right into your face, the drop is well worth the wait.
