Yes, there are alot of cats and dogs. I know it's a wrong thing to breed cats and dogs due the popultaion right now. But you can't go up to a child who says her shi tzu had puppies with another shi tzu and be like "OH THATS A BAD THING YOUR A BYB SHAME ON YOU GO DIE YOU MAKING EVERYTHING WORSE BLAH BLAH" and give her the whole animal shelter lecture. That's rude, and a person who was a special kid aid at my school called me a byb. I threw a bottle at her though so its all good :)
@angeldoxie1 Yes, you CAN tell a child it is wrong to buy or breed cats and dogs, so long as others are forced to die in the shelters for lack of space! I am 54 yrs old, and when I was a child, and even as a teenager, I NEVER knew anyone who had a litter of puppies (Shih Tzu, or otherwise!). Having a litter means the "owners" are either ignorant, or they want the money from being a Backyard Breeder. Either way, it spells IGNORANCE.
Animals lived free before us humans started catching them, and after that neuter and spay them.
Who gives you the right to spay and neuter animals. How about we spay and neuter humans for instance? And who gives right to humans to euthanize animals because they do not have owner? Why should animal need to have an owner?
Animals are wild, only us humans tamed them for our own entertainment.

We do it to dogs and cats because of overpopulation, but humans are becoming, if we aren't already, overpopulated, with technology advancing to make people have healthier, longer lives. We either have to find a way to live more peacefully with this world, or stop having so many humans. As a whole, though, people (including myself) are reluctant for many reasons (biological drive to have children, be the dominant species,etc.) not to do this.
@neXus200xx Domestic pets *never* lived freely. That's why they're domestic. Taming wild animals (tigers, monkeys ex) is a different debate all together. But the ad is talking about domestic cats and dogs who should be spayed and nurtured.
In our neighborhood there are a lot stray cats and they go hungry, turn ferrel, get hit by cars and carry decease. It's sad and preventable with spay and nurturing of your animals. Your ignorant and part of the problem if you think otherwise.

I tried hard to get the Florida law makers to pass animal cruelty/animal ordinance violation surcharge to fund low cost_free spay/neutering ($15 surcharge to fund these programs PER CHARGE). SECOND year in a row it failed despite the hard work I did. The Florida law makers ALSO kept bestiality legal-it is still legal for Floridians to have sex with animals - & this bill was rejected two years in a row. If people think this stuff doesn't go on-GOOGLE dog sex, or horse sex. It goes on a lot.
