Yes the music is horrible but give the guy a break, read the description he's testing his brand NEW camera out. Let him practice and learn. Heads up, probably just research how to make the most out of your camera because the D5000 is capable of better video quality then this you just need to learn the tricks to it. Good luck.
Im getting my D5000 this saturday, i do alot of photography but mostly film or on compact digis, i was wondering if the D5000 has steady cam/ Vibration Reduction in video mode or weather its just for still? Can anyone help?
@Kiljan137 Mate don't get me wrong I do like the camera but when I put it into LV (live view) mode to take video I find the auto focus a pain. I haven't taken a bad video but I wouldn't call in professional.
the quality is not outstanding, but as an ad-on to a dslr for 600$ it is pretty good. The best thing is the ability to manually focus and change the depth of field in video, you cannot do that with point and shoots or cams...
you're wrong on only half you said,i have Sony H50 point and shoot camera and you can change the depth of field, took me a lot of time to find out how but it does
@Brdl No.... no it doesn't. Most information is quite boring actually.... don't blame a guy who's *testing* his camera for his video *sucking*, because he obviously wasn't trying for a *good* video.

Yeah not professional, but I dont think that the most cams has such a good low light beahvior, but it has some problems. However the Canon Rebel t1i is much better, than the D5000 for filming.
Lucky for me, I hate using cameras for filming. To me, it's a waste of time and money. I'm buying this baby because of the superb image quality that I can get at a somewhat reasonable price.
Nikon is the way to take pics, but if you want a really nice, quality video, use a canon.

It's a much better camera than it is a video camera.

I wouldn't this camera on the strength of this video - this what I'd expect from a camera released 5 years ago.

I'd say those featutes are for still only.

@davidmorse92 It only has vibration reduction if your lens has it. it is not built into the camera.

I have a D5000 and the lack of auto focus in LV is a pain. And for the record mate I love the music... keep shooting and keep rocking.

@AusJackal would you recommend it for amateur film making?
i thought that i had my mind made up to buy this camera, but after seeing this video it makes me a bit nervous.

@williamthomasmi10 who said anything about art, even if it's meant to be informative, information has to be interesting too
