  • do you need an ATF explosives license for sugar potassium nitrate?

  • @jlguthri No.

  • what do you use for the fuel ? could you mail me the ratio in grams what the ingredients are and how to miz plz

  • is these building cement?

    excuse my english>>!

  • @sh3ifan No, it is a quick-setting cement for small repairs.

  • @NichroPulse

    thanks

  • Thanks for showing us how you made the nozzle T.T

  • where did u get those molds????

  • @the1091man : I made them. you can download the plans and source list for free! NichroPulse website.

  • where can i get kno3? like where do u get yours?

  • @creatorkid1197 Ebay.

  • @NichroPulse could u give me link so ik to buy the right stuff please

  • @creatorkid1197 Just look for the pure potassium nitrate. 95-99% pure is typical.

  • @creatorkid1197 dont listen to him going to ebay is too much of a trouble and they sell it for more.. jus go to lowes and ask for spectracide stump remover

its about 97 percent and its a pound for like 5 bucks 97 will oxidize ur miz very well

  • @iAmPwny thank you i head some thing about that stuff but wasnt sure if it was liget

  • @creatorkid1197 np along as it says it contains potassium notrate it probably does

  • wow is cool

  • Ok I am lost here, your title is

How To Make Small PVC Rocket Motors

But you show nothing other than a finished nozzle made in the end of the PVC, what is that pin? What is the mix you pack it with, do you put a peace of cardboard on top of the fuel between the parachute, it must have a 2nd burn to pop the parachute out, like the store bought ones, please reply, I would really like to know how these are made, please PM me step by step, TKY

  • @arnoldcustom This video is the PVC version follow-up on the first two popular tutorials. Please check out part-1 and part-2 "How to make small sugar rocket motors/nozzles" tutorial videos on my channel.

  • 00:00

  • c ool vid!! watch it with captioning on....LMAO!!!

  • @MrCommonlane People like u r so stupid, you see one of the top comments and write the exact same thing and expect to get thumbs ups. Well hears a lesson: WE READ THE TOP COMMENT ALREADY AND WE KNOW THT YOU JUST COPIED IT, so just shut up, please

  • @DoubleD593 ok it may be but your vids are still epic

  • were do you get the "base fixture"? and what does it do thanks.

  • you have underhand tools in your vid :D

  • what stuf did you used so i can make a list

  • Wont the pvc melt??

  • kool vid!! watch it with captioning on....LMAO!!!

  • @bandanamaniac LOL... Thanks that made my day.

  • @bandanamaniac "if you can recover the iraqis"

  • @bandanamaniac That is some good stuff!! LOL'd my pants

  • you dont know HOW MUCH this stuff interests me haahha

  • i tried making a rocket out of pvc pipe on multiple times and every time it blew up into smithereens

  • @amiyy4u hahhaha welcome to the CATO club

  • There are some angry pyros going around and flagging videos like these. I have no idea why someone would do that I'm suspecting because their channel isn't getting enough views?

I saw kno3me closed his account. His videos taught me how to make my first rocket

  • @donperry1 Really? Weird... I haven't had any problems with that yet.

  • how do you make the molds for the nozzles?

  • really good instruktion subscribed

  • wow, you helped more than i expected... i subscribed to you and i look forward to more instructional videos( Like how to deploy the parachute). Also i have a question, how many times do you think i could re-use that PVC Pipe without re-doing the nozzle. Thanks alot!

  • @vlad781 I have re-used a cement nozzle up to three times before the throat had eroded too much.

  • @NichroPulse hay buddy give me a hand here i want to know the fuel you used was it a dry powder of kno3 and sugar or the paste please reply

  • @jessellanos787 Check out my other videos. There is a tutorial on the ramming powder method.

  • where can i get on of those block things to make the nozzle

  • @151noregrets Any industrial supply store, or online at McMaster-Carr. Plans are free on my (nichropulse) website.

  • oh yeah one more question....how do u ignite or "blast off" ?

  • k im not tryna be dumb but ive always wanted to strap two of these to each of my feet.....will this blast me off or just make me hover....help me fulfill my fanasty and i kinda just wanna hover several feet above the ground how many wuld make me do that insted of hurdlin into the sky anyone who thinks this is dumb or awesome like this =P

  • @brandonsg123 Your feet would blast out from under your head, and drag you half of the way to Mexico with you head bonking the ground every 5 or 6 feet. I don't recommend that you try it mainly because your shoes might melt and begin to look more like Crocs.

  • Sorry for these dump questions but really need an answer

did u use gunpowder as fuel?

in case yes u did .. did u pressed it or just fill it without pressing?

and how much did u use of fuel? (amount)

and how can I decide the amount of fuel I use?

    thanx in advance

  • @beAdamant Check out my other tutorial videos. How to Make Small Sugar Rocket Motors. It is a two-part tutorial. There is a Tutorial Playlist on my channel.

  • what if you tried this only make alot and turn it into a jetpack like that one kid did.

  • @ NichroPulse :,,,,ok what is a grain core and what size nosel are you useing,

  • vasaline makes a good mold release! interesting vid man...

  • Yes, it is possible to a point, if you do not exceed the tube pressure.

  • sir..if i use larger and longer pvc..will it fly higher??

  • @mrthesirccy well if you just use the same diameter pvc but longer you may run into a few problems. the first of which would be the pvc pipe can only hold up for small amounts of the intense heat produced by the burning fuel. If you use i larger pipe size it will produce more thrust but will also make it heavier and will result in a similar altitude. I believe the way to go is to make a multistage engine. Ex: drill a hole in the plug on the top of the engine but not through the delay charge.

  • @RubixB0y ok thanks a lot...by the way very nice video....a good hobby..

  • the pvc pipe turned red

  • spray on sum pam

  • put wax on the converging mold and durhams is prettymutch plaster of paris

  • am i able to attatch fins directly to the the pvc rather than putting the engine in a model rocket?

  • @puffalo123 It is possible.

  • @kingjordan44 Good Idea, and this video has more or less instruction than needed. Good concept, but that huge skip in the middle didnt do any good.

  • @MakoShark321 Yes, this video skips a lot. It is a follow up on my other PART-1 and PART-2 tutorials. Please watch those for your questions.

  • Regarding the Rock Putty sticking to your ramming tool and base fixture, try spraying each with a light coating of WD-40, it should act as a releasing agent and prevent sticking. Great vid, like your construction method.

  • @Dem0D1ck Good idea, thanks!

  • @NichroPulse If you try it, please let me know, as a novice, it would be fun to know if one of my hair brained idea's was actually a winner. Best wishes and good luck.

  • @kingjordan44 I use a mold tool. Please see my other 3/4" 1-pound rocket motor making tutorial videos (part-1 and part-2). They will show you exactly what I did for the nozzle and end-plug. Good luck!!

  • thanks for the info, what are you using for your rocket candy am actually using 30g of kno3 15g sugar 7g corn syrup and 30ml of water

  • @strkat I'm using 65/35 KNO3/Sugar. The KNO3 is milled to a fine powder, and I'm using powdered sugar. I dry-rammed it or press it into the motor cases. I tried the casting with water, sugar and corn syrup, and got similar results, but wanted to eliminate the stove and heat. For small 3/4" motors, my method works fine, but is a bit more dificult to get consistant results in larger motors.

  • how did you seal the other end not the nozzle end

  • @strkat The "end plug" is made of rammed bentonite clay. You can also use putty, cement or plaster if you make sure to add a moisture barrier on top of the propellant. You can watch my other rocket motor tutorial videos to see exactly what I did.

  • where did you get that metal thing nd whats it call?

  • @molywhopx4 I bought it at the store. (nd)

  • @NichroPulse im gussn that il be toys.R.us

  • @molywhopx4 Actually, Babies-R-Us

  • @NichroPulse so you used baby powder? :P

  • @molywhopx4 exactly

  • where can I get this Rock Hard Watter Putty? home depo? Lows?

  • @strkat Yes, those stores should carry it. I got it at Ace Hardware.

  • won't the pvc melt in ignition and in flight

  • @tofu4tortoise No, not with sugar propellant. I have re-used the PVC case for several reloads. Another way to get the cost down to less than 5 cents per flight! give it a try and see for yourself, it's tons of fun.

  • @NichroPulse thanks :) i'm planning on trying this later.

  • Where did you get that nozzle thing?

  • @MultiFirecracker You can download the plans for free! Check out the nichropulse website.

  • does it have to be flammable kitty litter

  • the pvc cutter was the most amazing thing about this video.

  • yes that worked greate !

  • Good ignition, operates at how many volts?

  • @Ruilopes18 Thanks! It operates with 3 AA batteries (4.5V), and gives an output pulse of 55 to 60 volts. See my website or Google "Angry Spark III"

  • Nice rocket !

What kind of propellant did you use? R-candy or KNO3 - SUGAR mixture ?

  • @dragonsite It is KNO3/Sugar in a powdered rammed grain, like in my other video "How To Make Small Sugar Rocket Motors (Part-2)"

  • @dragonsite arent those the same?

  • how about you use a piece of tissue between the cement and the tooling, so you can remove it afterwards without having it stuck to the tooling.

  • @FOATE That might work, but it is working very well now. I have been using a thicker (less water) mix and twisting the nozzle tool as I remove it. Thanks for the idea!

  • what did you use to seal the top? You can drill 1/8" holes in the side of the pvc about mid nozzel to help the putty grab.

  • @sz42781 I used a rammed bentonite plug. I have seen holes used for increasing the plug/nozzle pressure holding ability. So far, I have been using groove rings that I score into the inside of the pipe on both ends.

  • i hve to make a small rocket for a school priject have any suggestions i dont want to spend too much on it

  • congrats on having the most comments per views on all of youtube

  • Woah!? Not sure how that happened? How did you find that out?

  • very nice mate,

love how you can see the burn inside the translucent tube.

also, just out of interest, i havent heard of either water putty or ancoring cement, is this like bentonite, as in it solidifies when compacted?

    cheers

  • Both cement and water putty require water to be added, and then you let it dry.

  • ahhhh, i see.

what do the plugs hold like on cardboard tubes?

  • These two plugs hold very well to cardboard. The cement holds better to cardboard than PVC, which is why roughing-up or grooving the inside of the PVC is a good idea. I use bentonite for the top-plug on PVC, but not the nozzle. The nozzle could be made with bentonite, but it doesn't hold quite as well.

  • interesting, im going to look more into this.

    cheers mate

  • Very nice engine, are you gonna use it in a bigger scale model rocket?

  • @skyisthelimitinc Eventually
