  • The second pose you showed I did that all the time! wow thanks for the vid

  • thanks alot, this pose is really helping. I have been having pain in my left big toe, i have been doing treatment and physical therapy but i was wondering if there were any poses for big toe pain? thanks again :)

  • Wow! She's got amazing balance. Nice vid to ;)

  • um how come this lady is still flat footed even though she does these exercises?

  • @janagroepl The exercises are to help strengthen her foot muscles so that the flatness of her foot doesn't cause pain or imbalance while doing the poses. The arch itself isn't going to magically reform with these poses.

  • @janagroepl she probably doesn't do them daily because it might not be a problem for her.

  • i swear that woman like dildo's herself on the floor to

  • @Elkidify lol

  • i got flat feet i managed to wlak staright but my feet are still flat to floor yet i have no pain and why not just take pain killers? if it hurts?

  • how do i run with flexible flat feet?

  • what is flat feet?

  • @BHDHacker2 When the arch of your inside foot touches the floor :)

  • @BHDHacker2 Flat feet (also called pes planus) is in which the arch of the foot collapses, with the entire sole of the foot coming into complete or near-complete contact with the ground. In some individuals (an estimated 20–30% of the general population) the arch simply never develops in one foot (unilaterally) or both feet (bilaterally). This is most likely to be in your genetics if you do get it.

    .

  • I didn't know having flat feet would put you in trouble in the future. I'm in trouble.

  • Tree pose or balance poses are especially difficult when thinking about the inner arch.

  • o3o i'll try this, i'm only 14 and I have flat feet(which gives me problems on certains things) and sometimes my feet hurt too, I HOPE THIS WORKS!

  • Haha! I THOUGHT she was dutch! :D

  • Very helpful

  • THANX A LOT

  • Thank u. I hope it works. My feet are currently on fire!!

  • irish/icelandic accent? it's very pretty.

  • @infraball Esther is Dutch

  • @hakirby wow i was way off, never heard a dutch accent like that before.

  • @infraball If you go through her archive, she gives an interview with an Irish chatshow, she says it there. It's an interesting interview.

  • @hakirby i'll have a look when i get the chance.

  • @hakirby Yeah! eXactly!!! :P

  • hey I can lift my toes and create an arch but my feet don't hurt at all , my knees do ! is this normal ?

  • how do u lift your toes and try to make an arch thats so hard for me lol

  • Thanks! This is great for us "normal guys" that don't normally do yoga :)

  • Very nice, I wil do them as I need a lot of support for my archs. Thank you for your kind video.

  • It was experimented in US army and thay came to a conclusion that the rate of injury of soldiers with flat feet is not higher than those of soldiers without fl. feet. Also, thay discovered that soldiers with fl. feet are equaly capable in terms of endurance and power.

    no difference what so ever

  • thank you!!!

  • I had flat feet and all the exercises were not enough to reverse the deformity. I was told I hyperpronate. I finally found a doctor who recommended I get a Hyprocure implant in my foot to fix my flat feet for good. Did ti a year ago and it's working out good so far!

  • @MsChitown911 Consider yourself lucky I know a couple of people who had this procedure done and never regained use of their feet :( I researched it when considering it for myself, that's how I came across massage therapy as an effective alternative

  • hey, im 14 and im having lots of trouble with flat feet. I play alot of sport. mainly football. every time i run i feel a sharp pain in the insides of my knees and my ankles :( any help?

  • @jimbob3400

You can buy special insoles that are designed to push the arch of your foot up. At first they can be pretty uncomfortable (because they're not very padded and are forcing your feet into the correct position), but once you get used to them they are amazing. I live in Canada and I got mine from SportCheck and they're called "Superfeet Green". I think they were a little expensive, but they are worth every penny!

    I hope this helps!

  • You need to re-think your first pose. The amount of tibial torsion you have created is going to cause meniscus injury.

  • Can these exercises help reverse flat feet over time? Just wondering...

  • @RainbowYoga2011 Once you're over 21 and have flat feet you're Finished. That's why you get rid of it by doing excersies before 21.

  • @intellegence63smart THAT'S A LIE!

  • @unciase1 No I'm sorry, I've M.S. In Biology and once you get to 21 years of age (avg) the bones all fuse, and calcify because they finish growing (that's why you have less bones when you are older then when you were a child, the 2 bones that make up your slanted part of the arch fuse and if they fuse incorrectly you are chronically stuck with flat foot. That's you you must strengthen your muscles and do excerses to get rid of Flat feet before 21 so they fuse properly.

  • @intellegence63smart Flat feet have to do with how you're using your muscles, not your bone structure. Check out the writings of Dr Jolie Bookspan. Your posture(including foot and leg posture) is entirely up to you. No need to apologize.

  • @intellegence63smart there are many things that can be done to help reshape your arches after your bones fuse with structural therapy, it isn't fun, quite painful at times actually but the techniques Esther has used are are very similar to the ones used by structural and Russian massage therapists Ive spent the last year studying anatomy and kinesiology, with orthodics and persistence you can make the body do anything

  • This is so helpful for those of us living in Hawaii. Wearing flip-flops all the time does a number on the arches, so this is awesome. Thank you!

  • Great video and great timing!! thanks so much!

  • Thank you Esther! I just saw my doctor and he told me I had slightly flat feet. Amazing timing<3

  • This is perfect thanks! My left arch has been hurting the past couple of days.

  • Would these help for being pigeon-toed? My feet are always turning inwards.. since birth really.. and I'm not sure how to fix it

  • Oh my god this is perfect! Thank you sooo much!!!

  • Excellent Esther!! Thank you so much!!!

  • Genius!! Did it just once right now, and I already feel a lot better!

  • i was wondering if there are any yoga poses for flat feet. I am gatting pain and starting to get flat footed on my left foot. I am going to do this daily. I love it! Thank you Esther.

  • I have stretched ligaments in my foot from a former broken ankle so can be a little flat footed - I know you're not a doctor but (!) would this routine help with that too, Esther?

  • Does this help for Pes Cavus as well as flat feet?

  • Thank you so much for this video!! My grandmother, father, and I all have flat feet and I'm so happy that I can now teach them some tricks to help with the pain!

  • Oh, Esther, you are fantastic!! I have a flat feet, it's passed down to women in my kin for at least 4 generations. Thank you for posting this video, now I know there is a solution. :) God bless you and take care.
