this is not cruel. the animal is pretty much dead by the time its plated. the movement is from some muscle reflex thing ( cant really explain) but the main thing to note is that the brain doesnt have to be alive for the muscles to twitch. the animals in this video suffer a much less cruel death than animals that come already dead and not moving. for instance, sushi grade tuna is caught by fishermen with a hook. the animal is struggles and trash to get away only to get more stuck and causing
more pain. the animal is then dragged back to port in the water still alive. fisher men do this to insure the quanlity of the meat. as the animal struggle they sorta "cook" themselves and reducing their meat grade. allowing them to be alive while they tire themselves off allows them to "cool" down and retain the meat quality. this can go on for several minutes to an hour that the animal is kept alive. but once its killed, cut up, frozen, cut up more and then plated, its pretty dead.
