Hey... I just realized that on the first screen, there's only 1 little blob. This might be the smallest part of our body, an atom of some sort.

Then we get to see many little blobs, we are traveling further.

On the next screen, I think we can see tissue or fibres or what...

And this tissue-thingy advances to a hand's crease, then a full hand.

I'm getting more and more sure that this intro is about the human body... how small we are, yet how big problems can we make. (Just think about Walter...)

The German version is 4% faster. All european versions of american shows are. It's because the US and Europe use different framespeeds and formats to show TV shows.

Okay, I just watched the first 10 seconds of both, the English and the German version over and over again and came to the conclusion, that it obviously is the same song, but it still sounds different. The one in the German versions seems to be slightly "higher" and also faster...

Seems to be equalized differently.

it's because in Europe the PAL format runs at 25 frames a second and plays faster, where the NTSC format is 24 frames.

@Tiktook Just a shot in the dark... but I think they run PAL in Germany. Something to do with that. Maybe the animation is done is 24fps and as a conversion was speed up to 25fps to match PAL standards and was pitched up as a result.

@12kohl its probably faster because of PAL TV system that speeds up 24 frames per second into 25 frames per second. NTSC on the other hand has a complex system of splicing the 24 frames and making it longer to fit the 29.97/30 fps frame rate. thus, the US version sounds slower, but Germany sounds faster. even at my local TV station too, Fringe intro is like REALLY fast lol

@Tiktook It might be because it's ripped from a PAL DVD. PAL DVDs run 4% in players that aren't made for PAL DVDs. A DVD from America would be NTSC while a German DVD woud be PAL.
