@tasatful He moves both. He uses circle picking with his index and thumb but also uses his wrist!

@infectionsman nonsense; how do you want to play it with hybrid? you could only sweep to the 5th string and from then you have to change strings from an upstroke to a downstroke; it's less efficient than alternate in this case; don't confuse people when you have no idea

@circleofpit Yes, i was talking of economy picking, and you are right he does play it with strict alternate picking in the slow video. He must be doing it in this video too, but its hard to tell. its just soo damn fast and he barely moves his hand, so it was easy to for me to believe that he would use his circlepicking + economy technique

have you watched it _slow? how does that look to you? giving names sounds clever, but did giving it a name make you pick faster? these discussions are so useless and a waste of time. this technique and that technque and here a cool word and there another. why am i wasting my time anyways now, when i could practice instead??? you will find that the style you play is not determined by any "name" and "technique" you pick up from a book and youcannot copy no-one. play, and find out your own thing

@wolffrankenstein The fact is here there's no other option than economy picking as we have an even number of note per string in this lick (i.e 2/4/6/8 etc is even number of note) here he begin with 3 note on the E string (well we can see it in the slow version of the video i have no merit hahaha) then play 6 note per string by changing with an upstroke etc etc the key to be able to do that is to keep training sextuplet on one string first with metronome trying to grab that thumb small motion!
