they need to leave old main there don't let them tear it down. i was a student at PHS from 91-95 most of my classes where in that building. i so need to go see it again. KEEP OLD MAIN!
What great memories I have of walking/running through these old halls.. It would be a huge historical loss to loose Old Main to a parking lot or tennis court..
I graduated in 1976 and proud to be a part of the history of Peoria High School Old Main alumni...
You have a good idea RP. Teacher housing would be an exceptional use for it. An old school in or near Portland, OR is now a mid/high end hotel, with blackboards and things still intact.
im a junior there now. i only went into old main first semester of my freshman year because they built the new administration building. my class never used the other 2 floors because they built other buildings but i have been on them to get stuff out of storage. The new one is nice but it looks like every other school. i think it feels good to walk into old main because i feel like im a part of that history. honestly we would be nothing without it.
Turn it into loft apartments for teachers, since many teachers cannot afford to live on their own. I am a teacher myself, and I would be happy to live with a bunch of other teachers in a dorm-like environment for a low rent.
hello! i was at the old timer's banquet with all the class reunions at PHS, i was one of the students serving. me and my friend said we were going to build a human chain around Old Main :D. we met your family wearing the "Save Old Main" shirts. anyways im sure many present student would agree that this is one of the most beautiful and historical parts about PHS. i think Old Main now IS PHS.

I've never heard of it. I was wondering if someone knew the address so I could drive by to see the beautiful building? Thanks

I attended P.H.S., class of 64 and this is worth saving. What great memories, my whole family went there going back to the 40's.
