How ironic: they're introducing "Housing Rescue & Foreclosure Prevention Act" because they pushed "housing for all", even those who couldn't afford to make the payments IN THE LONG TERM & put little to nothing down. What link is there exactly being housing inflation and rents? None in fact from '03 to present what u call housing inflation & others assest appreciation was due to Frank and his blocking of the '03 & '05 reforms and his further call for extending more credit to low income people. This put billions of $ in the mkt place. Rental space increased and rents when down as low income people purchased homes. Apartment complexs were giving away months of free rent and utilities to try and draw renters.

If you sign a contract, then default, the person or company defaulted against has remedies agreed upon by both parties entering the contract to fix this problem.
