  • ur a tool! some things are out of our control the planet has warmed and cooled for MILLIONS of years!

  • maybe the person believed in recycling but not global warming.

  • I heard this weird shit to buy locally grown produce or we waste to much gas to bring produce from other states, and country's were in a fucking rescission do you really think can offed locall grown shit fuck!

  • co2 is proven not to cause weather to change and that heat depends on

    sun spots

  • Remember when wearing Fur was fashionable? wasn't too many years ago that it was very chic to wear a mink coat, now its faux pa and very unfashionable, this is the only way you can get self centered, egotistical, and irresponsible hummer owners, or other big gas guzzling vehicles which are really just status symbols in cities. and make them look like outcasts, rejects, scum, this will change their ways really quick. see a guy with a hummer, yell to him "hey whats up, small dick? " etc.

  • people are fucking dumb and dont care for any thing but money and thats going too be are down fall

  • Im cunfuzzled??????????????????????????

  • My theory is that its the poles reversing slowly; however, that is just a theory along with global warming, in simple fact noody knows

  • I think Lady Hummer should start using biofuels instead of oil to heat her home, so at least she put back some of the oil her car is sucking.

  • I would say I am more concerned about the economic crisis that will shock the nation when fossil fuel resources run out than of global warming. Where the fuck is my hydrogen car you bastards?

  • I'm no expert on this but isn't the earth still coming out of an ice age...we don't know how hot it is going to get..weather is one of the things that thankfully man has no control over yet..and don;t they try to blame the green house effect on cow farts? because we eat meat?and what about the millions of buffalo that used to roam home home on the range...did they not fart?..

  • Global warming is a myth generated by a computer simulation that was far from complete and accurate. Real evidence and tempurature readings have shown that there is no significant global warming. Moreover CO2 is pathetically weak as a Greenhouse gas compared to Methane and the big one, WATER VAPOR! Now that being said, we ARE polluting the heck out of this planet and killing off every edible fish in the Ocean...but Global Warming is just a new market.

  • Well climate change isn't a myth. Ice that hasn't melted in centuries is melting. You can see it. If CO2 can affect that "at all" then we need to do something. Better safe then sorry.

  • bullshit. we try so hard to be safe, that either way we are sorry.

  • hey did you ever think it could be an escalade hybrid

  • hehehe, he rocks man, go Danny!

  • "Not less than 6 hours was president Bush telling us to do our patriotic duty... get out there and shop."

Daniel, I must say your rants do carry meaning behind it but i think you lost your point at this part. Our economic system is very fragile. If people dont go out and buy (or travel, "9/11") then our economy goes down. Though i can not remember the actual name to this kind of recession...its still a version of a recession which no one benefits from.

  • Haha I had one of these moments after watching a war movie and spending some time considering war, soldiers, and all that jazz. Then I saw an add that DELIBERATELY sayd "Support your troops, buy this product". They didn't say HOW? buying this deodorant or whatever, helps troops but if you DON'T buy this brand then you hate troops and want to watch them suffer. Right, I got a sad bitter laugh out of it if nothing else. Then I felt sick and tried not to look at any billboards on the way home.

  • reusable shopping bags is a start but not neerly enyware klose to wat needs to be done to help the planet

  • lawl wut

  • Global Warming is bullshit. George Bush is an idiot. That woman may not have been an environmentalist, she just doesn't like collecting millions upon millions of plastic and paper bags. That's why I have them. If that woman wants to drive a Hummer, then she should. If she wants to drive a tractor that gets even worse gas mileage, then so be it. No one has the right to force conversion to their beliefs. People should live however they want, as long as their choices do not hurt others.

  • The fact is that the choice of driving vehicles such as hummers are hurting others, it doesnt take a genious to figure that out global warming isnt bullshit reed/ watch the news educate ur self

  • What about the evidence out there from scientists who DON'T support the fact of man-made global warming, or that say we haven't had enough research done to prove or disprove it. What about the current plateau in our temperatures while carbon output has continually climbed? I honestly believe we don't know what's causing it yet. But to chalk it up to man-made global warming and discounting any need for continual research is irrational.

  • You got this right...but! A gas sucking car does hurt me. It does hurt the planet. So what now?

  • If we keep buying more shit eventually all of the resources will be used up - but then we can use our shit to make more stuff - which by definition is recycling. duh! and like who doesn't like shopping?

  • but it's shit

  • One man's trash is another man's treasure.

  • This guy is brilliant, and recycling cost so much money (unless its clothes or some shit) its barely even worth it, read some articles on water bottle recycling you'll see.

  • Y'know what else is funny Dan about the shopping bags? When they come out with the same amount of bags they would have came out with if they didn't say reusable. Does that makes sense? Now if you had your own burlap sacks, now that would do it's job and you'd never have to grab a bag from the store. But you still have to buy them. Another stupid thing when they were talking about gas pricess going up they were still advertising cars that would allow you to pump gas for less regardless.

  • Does that make sense? Doesn't bother us before because we spend spend spend. But when the gas issue comes up "you go out and buy a car!" Not even a fuel efficient car. But yes, buy what you need because we suffer in the end and the corporations make the money and don't care. Your problems makes us rich.

  • americas in a horrible ecomnomic crisis! Something horribled happend! Bad things are going down! what are we going to do!?!?!?

    ...shop!

    lawl

  • "ten mile a gallon SUV"

that´s a problem folks! Did you already pay off your brand new car? Is your car paying you off?

  • LMAO!! the begining is sooooo funny....

  • An excalade is bad for the environment? Look at what goes into the Prius, and other hybrids!

  • He´s so right. Fun way to show the truth.

Germany is just the same, as much as spain, France, Italy... every westen society country, you name it they are like that...

    sad but true

  • Ironic that he wants to save the world from global warming and he's smoking a cigarette.

  • smoking cigarettes doesnt ruin the world... maybe individual peoples lives, but to each their own.

  • The cigarette is a prop.

  • i think this is a great way to talk about global warming and i think you make a good point with the hummer woman.

  • Great point about buying and using less shit (Americans are still to learn this lesson). However, you'll never attract masses or cause massive change by calling on to "sacrifice" and stop doing what is cool and fashionable, but harmful. You see, the real challenge is how to make _sustainability_ cool, fashionable, sexy, mainstream... When it's both _easy_ and _cool_ to be sustainable, only then people will change their behaviour. And not by buying more shit, of course.

  • Jesus Christ, can every European take anything, and spin it in an Anti-American way?

Shit, if you are going to complain about any country, complain about China, don't just bring up the United States.

It is like Europeans bring up how "bad and stupid" America is on a whim, as though America took a gun and shot them in the testicles.

  • Was I complaining?? About the US? How so? I was talking about a way more general issue of sustainability of a modern Western civilization (which includes Europeans too, of course). Don't take it so personally oTERPSo. Grow up and learn how to take the criticism (even if it's about your home country, because every country deserves some criticism about something).

  • I just know people like you. Always looking for your chance to throw a punch at the United States.

If you want to play that way, then Sweden needs to learn how to lower it's taxes, and improve it's government.

No country is perfect, no human is perfect.

  • Nothing is perfect, that is why critique is good so that something can be improved, no?

Many people criticize USA probably because it is the unofficial world police and at the same time should not the world police be better than it is right now?

And Sweden has high taxes for a reason, not for a very good reason in my oppinion but whatever.

  • Maybe she's using the reusable bags because she doesn't want to deal with the huge pile of plastic. Things don't have to be this complicated.

  • Dan, you confuse an environmental disaster with a climate crisis.

That is the whole purpose of the global warming movement.

We have an environmental crisis. The last 30 years has seen all kinds of groups exposing pollution, from Love Canal, to Asbestos, to perchlorate and fluoride in our water. People have begun to understand the real and present danger of our air, water and land being polluted. So they had to find a distraction, to divert attention from the real and deadly problems

  • I drive a 35 mph hooptie and get the regular plastic bags from the store. Then I dump them in the recyling bin. =p People make it more complicated than it has to be..

  • That sounds like something from a newspaper comic. It's just too ridiculous...

  • Lol, i saw the kitty video, i thought its some funny video and ive been watching ur videos and im not into the whole politics and shit bussines but damn your videos are interesting, the way u think and talk are awesome

  • we are such a wasteful rase... and the big problem is that we are unconscious.

  • Save the planet, grow a beard! (Or shave with a straight razor like me).

  • When you say "I BELIEVE" in global warming it is much like my little nephew "I BELIEVE" in the tooth fairy. The Myth of global warming is simply a RIP-OFF LIBERAL STYLE, AL GORE'S I DON'T HAVE TO BE PRESIDENT TO TAX YOU PLAN! Recently,I mean less than a month ago 3500 scientists signed a declaration that stated that Global Warming as it has been sold to us does not exist. Read "NOT BY FIRE BUT BY ICE" and you will find evidence we are headed for an ice-age by all scientific accounts! GO Cadillac

  • ok but all those sintest said that there is a crises just we are not cosing it.

if there is a bomb in your house do you say hey i didn't put it there so im not fixing it.

no you dont so wether we are cusing it or not we need to stop it

  • You should learn how to spell before you attempt to communicate with people. It is sort of a prerequisite.

If you think there is global warming, while a very large number of people who are obviously smarter than you say there isn't, and you still want to do something about, you are acting foolishly and refusing to listen to the experts.

Don't just buy into an agenda. Think for yourself.

Oh shit, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to push you beyond your intellectual limits.

  • you know what i don't get ofended when you insult my spelling do you know why?

becuse its the only thing im bad at and in every other dam subject i have a way hire level of knowleg then you.

and by the why the "Experts" as you call them have more of an agenda to make dam money for them selfs thats why bush likes that arguement.

  • also most experts agree somthing is happening the only argument they have is that it was not cosed by us it is just happaning normaly and is the cicl of how things happen. and its just like the ice age.

but do you want to try to live through an ice age so even if we are not cosing it we should try and stop it ok that would be a good idea seanse an ice age would wipe out more then 70% of the population

  • I really can't take someone with a third grade level of spelling seriously.

But, if global warming isn't man made, how do you propose that we stop it? I mean, if it is just happening as part of a natural cycle, reducing greenhouse gases will not slow or stop it at all.

Seriously, though. You have a "way hire level of knowleg then" me, apparently.

Then, why is it that I see the same proficiency in spelling with my cousin's three year old daughter?

  • dude..there's a new thing..its called uhm *cough* spelling class, just don't tell anyone it came from me okay?

  • ummm yha i have a lerning disability i was born with NF im lucky that ill i have is troble spelling.

but yha you think i don't spend almost all my time trying to get my spelling beter i hate that i spell bad but no matter how hard i try i dont get beter

  • I didn't think it was possible to be radically moderate, but you've proven me wrong :) Keep it up.

  • I wish everyone in America would watch this video. This should be aired on every form of media non stop for 24 straight hours.

This was completely true, gave me a big smile and made me laugh.

You remind me of a quote I read-

"If you are going to tell people the truth, you better make them laugh; otherwise they'll kill you."

    -George Bernard Shaw

  • Global warming is the latest NWO trick, and it enables them to tax the world's people more! The truth about the planets and what will happen, why and when is in the Srimad Bhagavatam, all fully explained. The NWO worships the earth, while setting policy to harm it, and the people at the same time. They are insane!

  • Interesting subject.

My opinion of global warming is that it's nothing but a new way of getting more money from the people.

I agree with what you say about stupid people trying to help the enviroment but still they do more harm. But let's look at what the western world has started doing. You can now pay the government to remove your polluting record. so, technicly you don't pollute, this costs a lot of money, and makes people believe they are enviromentalists, but it's only donating money!

  • Live Life = Shop and Do like the Government wants. I have seen you in many videos and all of them i am soo agree that i could read your fucking lipps. Its Very Wierd you are not dead well i dont hope so but the governments could have thought about that whatch out of trucks and taxies. ;) Keep Fucking the system!!!!!! ;O

  • I love the fact the its was 40 degrees hotter in a Jurassic.

but yeah I agree you lol

  • Thing is, life on Earth can withstand 'global warming'... 'Global warming' is SMALL potatoes compared to what life on Earth has withstood in the past... Humans, however, may well not be able to withstand the mass extictions and increased temperatures... If we do destroy ourselves through global warming though, life WILL continue, just like it did after the extinction of the dinosaurs... There just won't be any humans around to fuck things up anymore...

  • @SirBroadsword yeah then some intelligent life will come AND NOT FUCK THINGS UP!

  • maybe it's not about fashion or something like that, maybe it was just an initiating.

you know it's better than nothing..

  • Americans have been spoiled children since the end of the second world war. They used to waste everything most of it oil. They use 2x more oilt than the europeans and they just have the same standart of live. They should throw away their SUV and stop give the bad eample to the world . Imagine all the chinese and indians with a big car: the end of the world.

  • In many cases (such as health care and crime rates), Europeans have a BETTER standard of life than Americans, all whilst using fewer resources per capita.

Unfortuneately, the senario you describe in China and India IS coming to pass in a way... Coal fired power plants are springing up like garden weeds in china right now and India's becoming more industrialised as well. If we let China continue like this, anything we do will be offset and even overbalanced by China's latest industrial project

  • Is those damn wet back mexicans with their halapenios farting the ozone outa this earth.. is them fault too. Ship them back up wherever they came...God bless America! (hey for those people who are I.Q. challenged, my comment falls under the category labeled "sarcasm")

  • tl;dl

  • Another awesome video! =D The last minute on 'sacrifice' vs. 'consumption' was just beautiful.

I wonder whether sacrifice would not only be more environmentally friendly in America, but also shift popular culture away from a material basis. Personally, I'd live in a culture (anthropologically speaking) rich with custom and ritual than one full of material goods. But that's just me.

  • Definitely a message that needs to get out there. For years, I've talked to people about how to really help the planet, with the same concept you are expressing, and I've found that people are just too fucking lazy. If it doesn't involve America's #1 activity, shopping, it's too boring to bother, apparently. A real shame, but no surprise. Hummers have been one of my top, most passionate hates since GM started pumping them out and the macho dipshit public started gobbling them up.

  • It's interesting, it seems that the public has rightfully associated Hummers with Douchebags who leased the damn things because mommy didn't pay enough attention to them. Okay, fine.

But I find that even socially conscious people find it acceptable to drive an suv as long as you buy carbon credits to offset your gargantuan vehicle.

Speaking of which, Carbon Credits... seem to me like a 21st century version of the indulgences that the catholic church sold in medieval times.

  • Considering where all the pieces come from, a hybrid isn't exactly a great alternative either, dan. All the parts have to come from other countries, accumulating a HUGE carbon footprint.

  • podcast dan?

  • CO2 is a very miner greenhouse gas. the most significant greenhouse gas is water vapor

  • CO2 is the number 1 cause of global climate change, because there's more of it being put out into the atmosphere than any other greenhouse gas.

  • Dan please believe me when i say that i have studied the effect of man made co2 levels and global warming. maggie thatcher set up the IPCC because she wanted to get rid of the striking coal miners and build more nuclear power plants. One volcano puts out more co2 into the atmosphere in a day than all the man made sources do in a year. You mentioned other planets well all the planets climates are warming up why?? The SUN, the sun causes all global warming/climate changes on this planet

  • Very interesting claim, considering that the sun is going to do nothing but slowly get weaker for some billions of years before dying. A lot of things cause climate shifts, but the sun isn't one of them. Of all you studied, did you forget the sun?

  • Actually you should probably look into the subject yourself before saying things like this. I'll get you started: sun spots. Happy reading.

  • Good on you man. You take how I feel and out into an eloquently passionate 10 minutes. I've listened and amazingly agree with everything. Keep it up. Educate the ignorant.

  • keep it up dan! Loved this video. I wish more people would watch your channel, but they're too busy watching stupid sluts dancing in booty shorts to shitty generic hip hop pop pussy music.

    ugh, why are Americans so willfully myopic? :{

  • Are we even sure that the Earth does not naturally get hotter every couple million years then cool down over time? I mean this "global warming" might just be apart of Earth's natural cycle.

  • I do say, what you are talking about is relatively true. Global Warming is not a myth, but people are taking it too seriously. Of course it's gonna get warm over the hundred years of straight pollution. The American people love a good thing to dwell on while amazingly ignorant. It's becoming a fad, but I mean come on, there's basically nothing we can do exept stop using oil.

  • Right on! "We need to buy less shit!" Exactly!

  • So was it a Hummer or Escalade? Not that it matters, just curious.

p.s. Great Job AGAIN on the video. KEEP 'EM COMING!

  • Both. I see people with Eco-chic bags getting into all sorts of bone crusher SUVs.

  • you need to have a podcast seriously because your very interesting.

  • Thanks man, I work hard to make these posts, and sometimes I think people just won't get it-

    But you clearly do.

  • Well, while I do find global warming to be A problem, I don't find it to be a HUGE problem like it's painted. When I see Nancy Pelosi and Newt Gingrich on the TV saying that we need to get bipartisan to "save the planet" I wonder "Hmm, why aren't we getting bipartisan to SAVE OUR CURRENCY VALUE?"

Honestly, I know you aren't speaking about politicians but people need to realize that being "green" doesn't mean shit if our money is worthless and we have no natural resources. Good video though =)

  • Our currency is devaluated because we are borrowing so much money from the Chinese...

This country is in so much fucking debt, the average American is just beginning to feel it. I think it's going to get worse...

  • well going off the gold standard and letting a private bank decide the value of a dollar is our problem essentially lol

It will, which is why we should focus on that. Not trying to knock your video, its good, but i just thought i'd share that with you and the rest of the internet community =)

Can't wait for the next video!

  • nice. I like watching this while Dire Straits Money For Nothing plays in the background.

  • I was thinking yesterday, Wouldn't it be easier for the government to blame the earth for global warming to avoid global panic if its not us doing it? Such as the suns been getting hotter over the last 50 years ( may be a myth but Al Gore's people wouldn't get back to him with a answer to his question. ) sorry this may look like crap to anyone reading it but i hope someone can look into it.

  • Actually Dan, buying more of the RIGHT products does produce more environemtal outcomes.

Example: by buying more crocodile skin accessories, breeding farms have produce more crocs for the market which ended up saving crocs from extinction many years ago.

  • There is a big difference btw an environmentalist and a conservationist. I just want the viewers to realize the distinction. Environmentalists do not concern its self with other facets of the "environment" such a Economic environment and cultural environment while conservationists take account of economics and social needs to judge the right level of preservation.

  • good point.

  • The woman you mentioned at the beginning was probably not trying to advocate environmentally friendly ideas at all, she probably just got some environmentally friendly bags because they are easy to get hold of nowadays. It doesn't sound like she was an "Environmentalist" or how you put it. And lets be honest, wouldn't you rather have her with one of those than a normal plastic bag? There are people who promote environmentally friendly ideas and are hypocrites, but she wasn't one of them.

  • My point is that status obsessed Americans, the type of people who drive expensive SUVs to flaunt their wealth, have found another fashion statement to make. Its a meaningless gesture, saying "I'm fully aware of the environmental crisis, so I'll flash this $2 bag, but don't ask me to give up my Hummer."

Is this a bad thing? That's up to you.

  • I agree with you and I don't feel that the majority of these consumers actually give two fucks about the planet. To them, buying a reusable "I am not a Plastic Bag" bag at Whole Foods was purely about FASHION rather than AWARENESS. Buying a reusable bag isn't gonna do very much if we don't CONSERVE and REDUCE our emissions! I can go out and spend $ on reusable bags, but when it comes down to it, if everyone doesn't change their ways (composting leftover food, biking) then we're still FUCKED!

  • I know, I've had this argument with several people, and I seem to get the same response from everyone:

"She's still doing some good by carrying reusable bags!"

It's very difficult to make the case that whatever miniscule amount of 'good' she may be doing is rendered moot by the fact that she is doing it for fashion..

    Why? you say-

Because the second the next fad comes around, those reusable bags with be tossed for something cooler-

Nobody wants to be seen with last's month's fashion.

  • brilliant every single time. :)

  • lol yeah... but the real problems are not the rich bitches with their SUV funtanks but coppersmelters, coalpowerplants, steelmills, and raffineries around the world.

  • Very, very, true. We need a completely new energy source.

  • Great work. I couldn't agree more.

  • Nice video. Nice videos, actually. Wether you have a natura inclination towards building a discourse or took up some form of rhetoric guidance, doesn't matter. You're cool.

Those are Romania's flag colours in you banner, btw. :)

  • Keep up the good work.

  • I am a big fan and i find your videos quite informative and what i really like is that you give suggestions on things we can do to help stop these things from happening.
