  • are you guys seriously arguing about being full paid and volunteer. fire burns the same way no matter what ,and yes some people decide to make a career and get paid,if you join a fire dept no matter full paid or vol,you know the danger and hazards when you take the fire dept test.you are brothers and sisters bonded by fire for godsakes.you do the job the same way ,full paid or not, jesus christ.its sad that people are still arguing about this.no matter what your still a firefighter all the same

  • @balloonmonster Thanks. i wish i could be paid, but we are all volunteer down here

  • @firefighter8316 welcome and here in RI its pretty much all full paid , except for a few companys here and there ,providence fd is also second all paid in the u.s and thats were im gonna go cuz of all my relitives in the fire service so i got about 2 years before i can get into there achademy. but i was just making my point like its really rediculous how many people fight and argue over full paid and volunteer. but stay safe and keep up the good work !

  • not that great i only do this like every day at work...

  • alright boys world's on fire gear up lets go!!

  • RIP earphone users... seriously be careful. the sound on this video.

  • WHOA! As a Chaplain for the Fire Dept. if that call went out I would be out the door.

  • i live on an eastview dr. ahah

  • @redneck4172 awesome, hahaha.. are you with any depts?

  • @firefighter8316 yep 1 in nc

  • i have a minitor V (5) one of my officers programmed it, idk where he gets the tones from, but he has a bunch

  • @firefighter8316 the tones are built in to the pager, and dispatching system. He doesnt "get" them anywhere.

  • What kind of pager do you have? I have been trying to find a sound file with just the alert tone starting at 0:46 and can't seem to find it

  • IM ALSO A VOLLY IN SAN ANTONIO IT TAKES REAL FIREFIGHTING PASSION TO DO IT WITHOUT A PAYCHECK I DO IT KNOWING THT IM GOIN IN FOR ALL THESE HOURS A WEEK AND SAVING LIVES BUT NOT FOR A PAYCHECK BUT FOR THE LOVE I HAVE FOR THE JOB

  • Amazing how big some peoples heads get once they get a paycheck for doing this shit...I am a volly and damn PROUD OF IT..we do JUST as much and just as good as the paid guys..only difference is we know what honor, pride, and passion feel like and we do it from the HEART

  • Just when you thought your day couldn't get any worse

  • i could only imagine hearing that page in the night and wondering if it was real

  • I would shit for this type of action.

  • that would be a great one to record and prank probies

  • lol. that tone sounds like my county's national weathr statement alerts. my station would be crushed if we had 2working structure fires because we get like 3 people a god damn truck

  • @sirstanley09 mutual aid...

  • Thats a dispatcher working for his money.... jeez

  • He's a good dispatcher.

  • Amarillo Texas, Potter County Fire Rescue.

3 paid chiefs, 1 office clerk, and 70 incredible volunteers who man 6 districts and 6 stations.

You may remember hearing about us on the national news for the Melissa Park wildfires.

  • so basically the vehicle went into one structure on fire then caught the other on fire too?

  • @platypuser it went through one, hit the gas line betheen them, and then caught both on fire, he broke through the garage of the 2nd, where we found his car, but he got away on foot before the police could catch him

  • vehical went into the house on fire. Oh shit!

  • i dont see the bad a@@ part of his dispatching....sounds like a standered dispacther

  • @125maverick it is a dispatch to a bad ass fire

  • @125maverick the baddass part is that the vehicle was in the house which turned it into a working structure fire...badass!

  • @125maverick While the person who uploaded this video never even made it to the fire, I was there and can tell you it was a bad ass fire. The sheriff's office was in persuit of a man who was in possesion. He came around a turn too fast, lost control, crashed through house #1 ripping the natural gas meter off, and crashed into house #2. The broken gas line fueled the fire, and on arrival of the first engine, he gave working fire of a fully involved single story and heavily involved 2 story.

  • @bcfirefighter3 how are you going to tell someone that i didnt go?

news flash, i was there. i live 8 streets away. i uploaded the video after i got home,

i missed a day of work because i was out there longer than i expected

so before you tell someone that another person didnt go,

check and makesure that they really didnt show up.

  • @125maverick the bad ass part is that there r two structure fires and one caused by a car that hit one of the buildings

  • @125maverick i did our dispatching sucks

  • @125maverick i think it was our dispatching sucks

  • what does it mean when they say working?

  • @1stresponder1 It means it's time to get your ass in gear! A working fire is a confirmed fire.

  • @tjh32673 ok thank you. happy holidays

  • @1stresponder1 basically what he said "confirmed fire" but has not yet reach the fully involved stage meaning there is still a chance of saving the structure

  • @hollywoodsix ok thanks.

  • @1stresponder1 its a confirmed fire. many times you get called out for a "possable structure fire" or an "alarm drop" and its really nothing at all. so somthing is actually burning.

  • @BFrank326 thank you

  • Holy Adrenaline..

  • Holy Cow

  • Any volunteer running...or attempting to run 500 calls a year is falling woefully behind in all other things in life. I did this for 15 years. I missed out on so much and I can never get it back. I always try to encourage new volunteers to be active, yet do not ignore life, family and other interests they have. The fire department was there before you. And it'll be there when you're gone. Help...but live your life as well.

  • @cdffirefighter I would be willing to bet money you arent even a Firefighter. If you are, you have alot to learn. Thanks for shitting on the brotherhood and making us look like dicks.

  • true hewoes.

  • we had that where i live at they were awful

  • haha cdffirefighter, did you lose your paid job to volunteers who kicked your ass? If you didn't get the memo, fire doesn't choose between paid guys and volunteers. And what does the pager have to do with anything? I don't know many guys that sit around recording every dispatch as they happen. If anything, volunteers don't get enough credit. They do this shit for nothing, and your ass is getting paid! Do yourself a favor and crawl back in the crap hole you came from.

  • Comment removed

  • there are more vollies than there are paid! and vollies rule

  • there are more vollies than there are paid!

  • @cdffirefighter wow way to be an ass hole big deal if he's a rookie and a volunteer BIG FUCKIN DEAL the only difference between us and you is a pension and a paycheck mother fucker

  • @cdffirefighter I've seen many vol. companies that go toe to toe with a career dept. anytime. I'm willing to bet you were that way one ya jackass, everyones last fire is just like their first and don't you ever look down upon volunteer dept again. We don't respond cause its our job. we respond cause its what we love to do!

  • @cdffirefighter um so whats wrong with being a volly we have the same training just like u were on a fire all night and have to go in to work now thats dedication i love being a volly helping my comunity day night 24/7 365 we see just as much fire some of these vollies run calls out the ass were runing 500 a year and might i say we do it on our own time.

  • @dmta i've seen studys that show that over a career, vollunteer see more fires than the adverage strictly full time firefighter, full timers have days off and kelly days. while a volly who is permitted to leave work for a call is literally available nearly 24/7 365. just a fact, but a firefighter is a firefighter, same goals any way you slice it.

show some respect boys. everyone goes home, stay safe

  • @BFrank326 thats true

  • @cdffirefighter as a matter of fact i am a volunteer, but i have done this with 3 depts, as well as first responder, i have been with my depts going on 6. and paid or not, i get the job done, the only difference is you get paid, well i run in and save lives, and protect property with no care for money, if you wouldn't get paid would you quit? because you have no honor to do the right thing when its called for. money is just an object, at the end of the day i feel good knowing im a volunteer

  • @firefighter8316 I never said i do my job for money,my job its my passion,im not bad mouthing all volunteers i once too was a volunteer many years ago thats how i got to where i am and i know most volunteers do the exact same thing we do just without pay....i wasnt trying to sound like a dick, but in my experiance ive seen way too many of the younger volly's after a month of so start to pick and choose wich calls to run on,then they tell people that they are a firefighter, when you tell...

  • When you tell people with no knowledge of the fire service you're a firefighter they naturally think career not a volunteer, and i have also seen younger volunteers take credit for calls they didn't go out on and even a few make up story's of calls to make them selves look like a "hero" to other people and family.....when i go visit home where i used to volunteer i always meet the newbies and hear about every thing.Last year i found a video on hear titled basically kick ass fire tones.......

  • I instantly recognized the tones of my old department, then on the video the young kid can be heard like he is on the radio to dispacth "he wasn't" and hops in his car turns on lights and siren and hauls ass to a working residental fire pulls up shuts his light off gets out wearing tan turnouts and walks around and out of view then a minute later you can hear his car door close and his voice over his scanner fake talking to dispatch like he was in the residence looking for victims...

  • After i saw the video i knew it was b.s. and made some calls and found that the 18 year old kid had filled out an interest card for being a volly, after that he immediately bought turnouts off ebay uniform a unprogrammed radio and light and siren for his pov and told his grand parents and gf he was a firefighter and pretending to run calls and using a scanner for his so called "radio" later on he was arrested while with his gf and his family "on lunch" in uniform with a badge radio

  • the whole 9 yards needless to say his secret was out, embarassed along with his whole family and by then probly ex gf.when state patrol and the state fire marshall told him he was going to lockup he threw a hissy fit crying his eyes out and stuck to the story that he really was a firefighter and it's a mistake right up until his court hearing,he will never ever set foot in a firehouse or near one ever again.so again im not trying to be a dick but can you see where iam coming from.

  • @cdffirefighter your right. but the thing is here, we are a combination dept, the paid guys stay on the truck, while the volunteers go in, and do searches, rescues, salvage, and over haul. its just 9 out of 10 people who have no idea of the way we in our depts are organized, everyone is quick to say, your not paid, your not a real firefighter.

  • @cdffirefighter so i tell them go to the class, get the training, and tell me your not a real firefighter, and when they realize all that the volunteers do they quickly apolagize, and say they didnt know, well im just tired of people telling me, or anyone else that a volunteer is not a real firefighter. and right now i dont lights or sirens, i am with a new dept, but when i do get them, night or day, i will still be there anytime that alert goes out, because i am a fireman, and thats what i do

  • @firefighter8316 you can always burn money, but not honor.. god bless

  • @firefighter8316 "When fire is cried and danger is neigh,
"God and the firemen" is the people's cry;
But when 'tis out and all things righted,
God is forgotten and the firemen slighted.
~Author unknown, from The Fireman's Journal, 18 Oct 1879"

It sucks we have to take it from the inside too. We should have each others backs, paid or volunteer. It doesn't matter. We are both on the same team.

  • @firefighter8316 and cdffirefighter: for the record, us "unreal" volunteers outnumber you and your iaff brethren by about ohh, 5 to 1... Philadelphia FD, the first organized fire dept in the US was only done so because of the frequency of fires. Most communities are still looking at a possible turn back to Volunteers as newer building codes and construction laws are becoming more prevalent and the instance of fires and related deaths go down. And the only reason many have paid guys is for ems.

  • @jaggy319 dude i am a volunteer. so i would like to know what the hell you are talking about..

  • The spirit of Sam Lanier (the dispatcher usually heard on Emergency!) lives on. Very, very well done. I tip my hat to these guys, next to the actual responders, they probably have the most stressful job in all of emergency services

  • homie.u didnt get all of these calls at once. sounds like u got a minitor 5 and theres a repeater on it. u obviously r repeating all the calls u had recently as there is a loud beep at the end of each call which means the playback is over.

  • @PanicXRevXCr because it totally only beeped once and its the same address on both pages and the times are in similar times.

  • @PanicXRevXCr there you are corect, i went to the call, worked it for 4 hours, and when we got home i repeated it, because no one would believe it.. but they happened over a 5 minute period, it came out as 1 call but kept upgrading.

  • now thats how its done dispatch that is

  • three weeks ago our station went mutual aid to a second alam structure and we got released and not 20 seconds after being released we were dispacted for a working structure in our own district

  • Fuck......if that happened where i live we would fuckin have mutal aid from like 10 towns and like 50 towns standing by........you guys GOT LUCKY!

  • That dispatcher got game!

  • nice

  • ooo nooo sucide bomber lol

  • drop tones...respond to a vehicle fire at north mead blvd....drop tones...respond to a east mead dr....near north mead blvd.... drop more tones... upgraded to a structure fire the vehicle went through that structure.... so to explain... a car caught on fire and caught some apartments on fire it was a basic call that got upgraded to a structure fire

  • Wow just wow.

  • both tones sound from :50 - : 53 sound familiar on my scanner, first one is for the fire dept by the house, and the other one is for the fire dept in rhe next city over

  • shit has offically hit the fan....lotss of mutual aid

  • It sounded like at the first dispatch that the address is Whoop Me Boulevard :D

  • thats all recorded stuff prob i record stuff on my pager

  • wood mill blvd??? where is this? sounds familiar.

  • Thats a LLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG ass day!!!!

  • damn...thats crazy...i cant imagine what kind of ass I would be haulin to the station if I heard that shit lol

  • @richie19r we actually dont go to the station, we do P.O.V to the scene, we meet the trucks out there, lucky me it was 8 blocks from my house, i almost beat the first truck, it was 3 blocks away

  • thats not a real dispatch hes playing the calls back from his pager

  • @JrRedneckRickem of course... who would sit there and record the call when it's first dispatched? You run the hell out the door and get to the station instead.

  • @CheKo136 haha i recorded it after i got back home. that shit was bad. if i can get the pics from my old computer i will put them up. but the car went through one house, and hit the gas line between the two and blew both of them up.

  • @firefighter8316 haha that is awesome...we dont get that here in ny...although if anyone reads firefighter nation, i was at this: >>>>>Initial dispatch was at 08:29 the scene was cleared with all units IN SERVICE at 19:30. WHAT A DAY!!!! I actually have pics of AFTER the fire on my Facebook.

  • i was on one with three houses involved

  • Rockdale County Fire Dept. In Conyers, Ga. Tones Sound Like This.

  • long island?

  • Thats awsome what a crazy dispatch

  • man!!!!!! 2 stuc. fire's that's crazy..... i'm a fire fighter too. jeeeeeezzzz. thats a mess and a half.

  • haha feel bad for them guys sounds like a pretty running ass department.

  • They are capable of recording up to 8 minutes each.

  • I have both a Minitor IV from Broad River Vol. and a Minitor II and V from Bat Cave Vol. the V is my Dads.

  • I have both from two different departments. One from each a Iv from Broad River Vol. And a V from Bat Cave Vol.

  • @swlacey He obiously has a motorola minitor 4 or 5(Iv/v).

  • that alert tone is just like ours when we are paged out

  • wacker!!!!

  • wow someone figured out how to record each page! beacause i know me repeater pager doesnt record two and a half mins of audio!!!!! please explain dumbass

  • This was in Harvey Louisiana

  • DAAAAAAEEEEEMMMMMMNNNNNN!!!!

  • That's FDNY type of action. Wow

  • @Randomeone01 I think even FDNY would scratch there heads for a second if they heard that page!

  • this not badd ass

  • ur not a FF!!

  • 2 working fires thats a major oh shit moment

  • @patriotsfz I would of get up and beggin running towards it lol and let the engine catch to me lol

  • @patriotsfz We had 2 working structure fires about for months ago withing 2 minutes of each other.

  • @patriotsfz My department had two structures...at the same time as well...then we had three more later that night

  • @patriotsfz 3 working fires. cuz the vehicle fire got upgraded to a residential

  • damn dude, a flaming car into a house!? i'd hate to be the guy sleepin' in the house!

if we had a call like that we'd have at least 1 other dept. show up...

    Cape Vincent Vol. Fire

    Stevens

  • stolen vehicle, guy drove it through the garage of the first house and took out the gas meter and ran into the second house. so now you have a car on fire in between 2 house and 2 ruptured gas meters.

  • hollyshit 2 working fires

  • FARKLE'S

  • The long beep means 911 call.

  • where is this from?

  • ALERT TONES

  • whats that sound called at 0:47 to 0:50?

  • thats our tones foe either an auto fire alarm or structure fire

  • hi-lo, or warble

  • where i am, it just gets your attention. for example letting you know you can cancel or something

  • thats an alert tone we use that tone for EHS

  • a bit late on that response...

    but thanks anyways

  • lol xD

  • i already had like 20 people say what it was... and that was too much... and people keep saying what it is even after a month of that comment being up

  • well im sorry i didnt know.. no reason to get all pissy
