Here in New York City, taxis trying to beat city bus also.

I remember one time when I was on M60 in LaGuardia Airport, and as bus was preparing enter US Airway Shuttle, taxi on left cut as off and bus had to skidded to halt.

Now I see the importance. I will listen better. I'm the last stop and I always see this dog holding a book of bus saftey. The dog looked like a Shiba inu. I do see it now but I have a feeling when the Bus iccendt happends I won't see him anymore. I think his name is Biggy. He was ran over by a bus

I read on the internet archive, a comment by the director and the boy who played Kevin. The director said that they had permission to use a Penn Valley (I think) school bus to 'throw' it off a cliff using a CAT vehicle.

In NYC area, cars are always are concern. They always cut of the school bus or city bus. I learned from California DMW YouTube video that all trucks, school buses and city buses has BLIND SPOT zone.

Cars are not respecting law that passing RED FLASHING SCHOOL BUS OR other White Bus with RED are illegal.

In NYC, school buses are using loading/unloading light to change lane, going on opposite lane to make illegal left-turn or breaking weigh lift.sign on bridge.

Update!: Kevin went on to work with the Ad Council in his adulthood, but remained haunted forever by this incident. The girl who wanted to go back for her clarinet as the bus plummeted down the cliff was discovered to be on cocaine. The bus driver had the truck driver arrested and was put in jail. His sentence will end in 2009.

when i was in second grade (1992 ish), my school accidentally showed us this video (which is meant for high school students). i guess some parents complained or someone noticed that this wasn't something to show to 8 year olds, and we watched a more "age appropriate" one. but i seriously thought for a few years that i made this video up because no one believed that they would show a video about a ghost and a bus plunging off a cliff! i'm glad i found this, i'm vindicated.

Wow, this script could be virtually re-used for a safety video today. Just with a "have someone with a cell phone call for help" thing in the instructions after, and with a couple minor updates.
