I don't think it does sorry. If you can go back to a previous save I would advise too. If you can't you could try looking for it in the locations shown in the video. Not entirely sure on that one

@MyBlindRun To confirm I killed him early and still got the Parrot, so you can kill the end whenever. hope this helps :)
