I don't have a grudge against the ipod reviews and actually enjoy most of them but I think he is reviewing way too many of them. As GunshipHero mentioned there are so many other consoles that he is missing some great games for. Especially the NES & SNES

Good review. Don't listen to the people complaining about the iPod reviews, Mark. I don't even have an iPod Touch or iPhone, and I find it interesting just to see what's out there. I like the retro reviews best myself, but I think the recent reviews give some variety to the show.

For a Breakout style game, it's surprising in-depth.

I don't have a grudge against the ipod game, but please keep the number of them in a healthy ammount. 3 of the last 6 reviews were ipod. There are so many good NES, Genesis, SNES, Master System, PSX, PS2, PS3, Dreamcast, Saturn, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, DS, PSP, Colecovision, Xbox360 ..... games to review. Please keep it more mixed and not so "ipoded".

You can already get NES on an Ipod! Mine has it already you just download the Emulator and the ROMs it has to be jail broken though. The emulator is made just for the Ipod it self. Its cool but a little lag at times.

they actually ported that game for the Ipod, but the controls are nowhere near as good : / you can't beat mouse and keyboard on a platforming shooter =P

It was one of the best methods for controlling a 2D shooting game. Today, they could make a game like that for the Wii, except you aim with the wiimote instead of the mouse. In fact, Metroid Prime Other M, is going to use that particular style. Except it's a 3D 3rd person game. You control Samus with the analog stick, but aim and shoot with the wiimote.

Metroid other Ms trailer also hinted at 2D style gameplay, so me might see both 2D and 3D, similar to that new game for the 360 can't remember the name.

it's too bad there's not many games like that = / I loved ABUSE when I was a kid =P it was awesome, there's also Muramasa for the Wii coming out, yet that one is only melee, so I guess it wont even use the Wiimote style controls.

Yeah I love them too ^^ they have a style and gameplay that can never be achieved on any 3D game, I think the only game that was able to capture as close as possible a 2D game but in 3D was Megaman maverick hunter X on the PSP which was just a 3D remake of megaman X =P

I was actually kind of worried when I saw the PSPs 3D capabilities, I was like, damn, soon enough not even the portables will be havong 2D games, but XBLA and the underpowered DS save the day =P who doesn't love Castlevania on DS

DS has some great 2D games and games with 3D graphics and 2D gameplay, namely Contra 4, Yoshi's Island 2, New Super Mario Bros, and more. I'm even more pleased to see more 2D games coming out on the main consoles as well. King of Fighters XII, Blazblue, and Murasama all look utterly amazing. 2D is definitely not dead! Also get New Super Mario Wii! 4 player side scrolling action, gotta love it.
