why on earth did they get rid of individual control of characters? it would have given combat a much needed boost in the satisfaction department

1: possibly because they were getting too ambitious for their own good, and couldn't code it in time. 2: Because they wanted you to be fully immersed as "Commander Shepherd". 3: They wanted fighting to be as simplified as possible, therefore sacrificing control of your two squad members and letting them think on their own.

3) of the games few faults, I felt this was it. Yea you can control them, but barely, and most of the time they wouldn't listen to you anyway, especially if there are enemies surrounding you. Thankfully their AI isn't completely stupid, and they usually will not run ahead of you and will stay in one place unless you move forward and most of the time will not get in your way. So I almost never gave them orders.

I don't even remember. Whatever was considered "Normal" difficulty I played on that. I very rarely play the Easy or Hard and Expert difficulties on most games.

This is an old video from 2006. A lot of changes have went into the game since then. For instance, you can no longer control each squad member individually, and the interface has completely changed.

You can't control your squadies like that can you? i wish you could, pausing then moving that little crossair around would be sweet, but the only thing you do is press UP and they run there, both of them. you can't switch between them either can you?

The game isnt even like this anymore. the galaxy map is totally different. You can switch team members and it is like halo with shooting. Also, there is a cover system kinda like gears

well.. its the fps STYLE of shooting, like.. u can aim and shoot and control it with all that, (as u put, the halo style).. but there are sooo many levels to it.. like, u can use the human bionic system to keep the enemy in the air.. and then shoot them to peices with your UPGRADED GUN. WOOOO

That would be because its basically the same thing from the same designers. It looks great, the only problem I'm having with it right now is the fact that there isn't any real melee combat. That was a slight turn off to me.

I have a PC Wii and 360. I would love to get a PS3 too, but the only games I want on it are MGS4 and UT3 (and I can get UT3 on the PC anyway so really only MGS4. Like most people say, in a year it will probably have a better lineup, but I'll stick with the systems I have now.

The only chance PS3 really has so far is MGS4 (which there's already strong rumors of going 360) and like you said, final fantasy, which could also just as easily go to 360, al the other big titles are already gone.

There arent enough MGS fans to save PS3. MGS3 sold much less than 4 million copies. Thats out of 100 million PS2 owners. How many of those 4 million will want to buy a PS3 just for MGS4? Very few.

I love this game and i would probably buy a 360 for this game but. just hope its not 8 hours long kind of like Gears of War.
