  • good thing its a light car haha

  • good job boys time for lunch

  • 2 WORDS....AMSTEEL BLUE!!!

  • I thought you said on the roof you wanted it.

  • He started to lift it and I was already thinking it was a bad idea... there was a dude under it when he swung it to the left who's lucky for his life... who the fuck swings a load OVER a truck, or people at that?... I'd fire the dude...

  • They should be using a clevis based on the angle of the straps.

  • He took a 3 day course on how to run that recovery truck......... Sadly he was absent on rigging day.

  • Title fail... That was an accident, not a man's fault...

  • @GamerAndReviewer so are you saying you SHOULD lift an entire car using the seat belts that are only rated for around 350 pounds????? if you watch closly they were using the seat belt/harness to lift the car in the rear and thats what broke.

  • heres your sign

  • Ah, it'll just buff out, and you can use duct tape to fix the suspension and stuff right?

  • i dont think that was ment to happen? no shit! haha

  • Caterham?

  • " I don't think that was meant to happen" ----DUH... do you think?

  • Job Well Not Done

  • Caterham?

  • A safety clip on the picker hook would have prevented this... using a shackle would have stopped it entirely. :P

  • @tytyblu no it wouldnt have.....the strap broke in two. they were using one strap in a basket formation when it broke where it went thru the hook, after that they used two chains

  • @cgspeeddemon1 oh, i see what's going on now. They were using a loading strap and the friggin seatbelt. The seatbelt broke or came unbuckled. Cripes. Fired.

  • @tytyblu LOL, yeah if your going to use synthetic lift straps you should always check for frays and other bad spots before every use and obviously these guys didnt.....they're just lucky it landed on the trailer and not a person!

  • @tytyblu good catch on the seatbelt part.....i thought it was another loading strap.......they should be fired and banned from crane work forever!

  • 100 percent right no straps broke they sliped of hook because no safety catch

  • Americans :)

  • @SiloNova25 Listen to the accent retard.

  • @pdd21 Oh, sorry. I saw something that only Americans would do, so I assumed it was them :)

  • @SiloNova25 lol:D

  • ... and I thought only NASCAR had dumbass rednecks :) in it...

  • the bits that weren't fucked, are now

  • poor caterman

  • you can buff that out .

  • hey u stop u got a car on your roof

  • tow truck cop all the shit i am just waiting for one to tell em to get stuffed and walk off i have seen them get abused for scratching a body pannel that was already stuffed from the crash dont just say he is doing it wrong because i am sure as hell they couldnt do it

  • typical for someone in a foreign country . . . retards

  • God Almighty! Lengthen the straps! I worked transport for a crane company and even I know that!

  • why do that when the asshole could have pulled the truck forward.there was NO reason for him to be that close

  • thats why you use chains.

  • or at least heavy guage braided nylon.

  • ive seen chains kill people with just a fraction of the rated weight on them

  • It's been five years since I took any kind of crane course, but I'm pretty sure one would want the straps to have a steeper incline off the hook (to form a taller triangle). Not sure if that contributed to the cockup or not though. Funny to watch someone fail... hehe.

  • good thing it landed on the roof or buddy running the controls would have been dead

  • now they can start the race

  • LOL lUcky!!!!!!!!!!!!111

  • haha

  • "Dammit Cletus, i said IN the truck... not ON it"

  • @Blue84Stang : Haha, that's my redneck name, Cletus.

  • IN THE TRUCK IN!!!!

    lol :P

  • atleast the truck saved it :D

  • yeah but it still fucked up rally bad

  • lol its alredy fucked man

  • lol yeah

  • it was fukt before he took it off the truck

  • LOL i gues they dont knwo what center of gravity is...

  • the crane operator should have an understanding of the rigging. no excuse for that at all.

  • maybe they should put some more shit in the way for the poor crain operater.

wtf??? move all that shit so the guy can do his job & oh yes please get a rigger & the rite gear too.

  • Was that Carrot Top on top of the truck?

  • lol... No! It was actually Nigel from Spinal Tap! :-D

  • the only thing more mind numbing than watching this video is reading all these comments you people have no idea what you're talking about, It's not rope, the crane is plenty strong enough, you never stand under a load, they're not wish bones they're called a arms, it Was horizontal to start with, you people are morons

  • in the good old days they where called wishbones..the cars i have now have control arms..same thing better design. actually working around cranes I can tell you that you have no clue if this crane can hold this car or not unless you read its specs. the car is prolly no more then 1500lbs i wouldn't see any Mobile crane not able to handle that, but there are a few.

  • this crane is NOT strong enough to load a car

  • You're joking right? What do you think that "crane" is made for? That is a knuckle boom recovery rig designed to pick up cars, vans and SUVs. When used out on the open road they do use a spanner beam so the straps don't rub against the side of the vehicle. For race track recovery they use just the nylon web slings like you see in the video.

  • idiots - it wasnt horizontal to start with

no-one been on a halishing course then?

  • poor little caterham :(

  • your supposed to stand underneath and catch it

  • lol

  • Why was it taken over the trailer in the first place. And you will probably need to buy some new rope.

  • that wasn't rope, it looks more like the straps you'd use in a moving truck. But yeh I agree.

  • oops!

  • at least the trailer was there! lol

    \

  • yer i think the car should be in the trailer boys not on it! LoL

  • its junk now!

  • My god, the owner of the truck is going to be super pissed when he finds out someone landed a racecar on the roof and bended it completly! thats structural damage that can't be easely fixed. The racecar was f-ed anyways :)

  • Was only minor damage to the car. New nose cone and front wishbones. Chassis was okay.

  • Zzzzzzz... Snoozefest..

  • He is lucky in one aspect...at least it didn't hit the ground or worse someone!

  • hahahaha "i don't think that was supposed to happen"

  • "i don't think that was meant to happen" XD

  • lmfao what a fuck up

  • Well, just put some straps on it and you're off!

  • poor caterham...lol

  • thats what you get for not thinking....

Oh well thats what happens to dumb people with their dumb ideas:) Thats the best way to learn... to:D!

  • Dote!

  • shot tho

  • PERFECT LANDING!!!!

  • I agree! Perfect Landing!

Back end slam straight on the truck, race car is perfectly level, in fact it's already in place for that BIG JUMP!

  • "I don't think that was meant to happen"

    help me I'm lol

  • loool

  • that sucks.!

  • oh well who cares its allready wreaked

  • rofl

  • Boom operator: well, just strap it to the roofrack and your set to go!

  • Well..they are ready to go now...lol

  • Lmao its meant to go in the truck not on top of it mate!

  • By the look of the angle of the front wheel, it looks like they already dropped it a couple of times.

  • lucky it fell on the truck and not on the ground

  • naja. de auto was toch al stuk..

  • no harm to the car but it looked like it bent the truck some. as I read in another comment why was it lifted so high? And why over the truck?

  • its because there is no closing hitch on the hook...holy crap thats dangerous

  • This video, just goes to show, why you have to pay more for the professional's, and not cheap labour with poor equipment.

  • Maybe use a chain and pads for metal contact so it doesn't drop like a rock.

  • why oh why did they have to lift it so high? Plus according to chris there was a family having a picnic just down a slope next to this - they would have been in serious trouble if it had let go a bit later!

  • I dont think that was meant to happen! What a genius.

  • They heard how strong the MNR chassis is...time to test it
