Mike vs. Frank Bruno was one of his most awesome examples of head movement, Mike is slowly ADVANCING while completely ducking multiple shots from Frank.

Well, there's a simple rule in fighting. The heavier you are the harder it is for you to dodge. And for tyson's weight, he did a really good job on dodging some of those attacks but he'd be easily outmatched by Buakaw for example who can dodge practically any average punch. It takes a really fast boxer to score a hit on him.
Dodging punches like this, in a street fight situation will get you knocked out. Respect to the dodging but it only works inside the ring, with the rules of boxing. This is where boxing becomes slightly boring to watch. They should implement rules where you cannot slip/dodge punches by moving down and in close, Mike Tyson is taking advantage of the fact you cannot use your legs in boxing... BORING!

I have seen people get knocked out like that before, at his level. Getting hit in the temple can knock you out so you want to avoid being hit there, right? Most of the shots didn't just graze his head that connected, they clipped him, meaning made solid contact with a SMALL PORTION of his glove, but not flush, or the whole glove. There are successful slips and there are failed slips; for the most part, these were failed slips.

I'll get killed for saying this but I don't think anybody alive couldve beaten the 1984-1989 version of Mike Tyson. He had too much speed, too much power and was too skilled. This clip proves he wasn't just a brawler, he made guys miss too.

@alexvoce, another who jumps on the 'Ali treated Frazier badly' bandwagon. Whatever Ali said about Frazier, Joe gave just as good back. He openly critisized Ali's religion, and has claimed that Ali suffers today as a punishment for being a Muslim. Frazier insisted on calling Ali 'Clay' after his conversion, and also when Ali was in exhile said to President Nixon "GIve him his licence back so I can beat him for you and America." It was a two-way street, and Frazier was no angel himself back then.

Frazier started the war of words, Ali responded, Frazier responded and so on. But the fact that Frazier started it is always swept under the carpet. Besides, you've admitted that Frazier too said his piece - so regardless of who started it, why do you think it's ok for Frazier to mouth off, but not Ali?

Well, there's a simple rule in fighting. The heavier you are the harder it is for you to dodge. And for tyson's weight, he did a really good job on dodging some of those attacks but he'd be easily outmatched by Buakaw for example who can dodge practically any average punch. It takes a really fast boxer to score a hit on him.

Dodging punches like this, in a street fight situation will get you knocked out. Respect to the dodging but it only works inside the ring, with the rules of boxing. This is where boxing becomes slightly boring to watch. They should implement rules where you cannot slip/dodge punches by moving down and in close, Mike Tyson is taking advantage of the fact you cannot use your legs in boxing... BORING!

You try fighting 6 grown men, while defending your girl at 14 years old. The fact that 5 of them ended up on the floor while the other ran away in fear is a pretty good indication. And that was Duran when he was still green. That's something you see in Hollywood, not autobiographies. Can YOU do better?

If they attack you one at a time, not so impossible. It also depends on your attackers contraction (moving forward). So in reply to your question, Yes, given they all attack me in turn, or are all brain-dead, i could take 5 people on.

Boxing teaches that. and you saying you could beat 5 guys at once is a theory. Duran actually did it. So if you wanna turn that theory into a reality. Do it and come back to me. They also have to be bigger than you, as duran just hit puberty by the time he fought those adults fought him.

@POTATER1228 It doesn't take training to do anything ''effectively'' it takes 'UNDERSTANDING'. Footwork is easy, move your supporting leg first? Wow big deal... Footwork isn't as essential as you say. There is many fighter's who use bad footwork, footwork which doesn't promote or ensure balance. For example: Ali, Naseem, Jones. Power is nothing, it doesn't take much power to knock someone out, take Ali's 'phantom punch' for example, he was moving backwards when he threw that cross.

He had all the skills but skills dont matter if you never use them to beat anyone. Muhammad Ali had beaten Liston, Floyd Patterson, Chuvalo, Cleveland Williams, Ernie Terrell, Frazier, Ken Norton, Big George and Earnie Shavers (who hit twice as hard as Tyson)! Who has tyson beaten? @twoxcents Those "champs" he beat were HORRIBLE compared to the competition Ali, Forman (who Tyson Ducked), Frazer, Liston, Joe Louis, Lennox or Dempsey. Ring Magazine (im sure you have heard of them) had Tyson 14th, Sports Illustrated didnt have Tyson top 10, neither did ESPN or Larry Merchant. In fact almost no magazines, ex boxers, analysts or columnists have Tyson top 10, and if they do its on the low end. Tyson had top 10 POTENTIAL but he didnt have the big name wins to put him top 10

I have seen people get knocked out like that before, at his level. Getting hit in the temple can knock you out so you want to avoid being hit there, right? Most of the shots didn't just graze his head that connected, they clipped him, meaning made solid contact with a SMALL PORTION of his glove, but not flush, or the whole glove. There are successful slips and there are failed slips; for the most part, these were failed slips.
