I love this song so so soooo very much. I followed up on all of his stuff dating back to the days when grp records was in full swing. the smooth jazz format lost one of the best soprano saxophonist of this generation. and what saddens me most is that he still had his whole music career ahead of him. and didn't get to live to an old age at all (only 41 yrs old).
Gone too soon. I will miss and forever cherish his music. R.I.P.
What a WONDERFUL TALENT.. George is missed BIG TIME!.. Enjoyed his jazz concerts CD101.9 FM (NYC)...around lower Manhattan... those bright lights of the BIG APPLE during a warm summer night in the back ground.. those towers that are missed (11) so much & the statue of liberty with such GR8 tunes like this ... just dosent get any better.. R.I.P. George! @boswell69... nothing but props to you fellow tuber. Port!
@port2344chester Thank you Port for this Soulful Jam...its funny because I was thinking this represents a warm summer night...holding hands....taking a stroll with your love....and you said something very similar in your comment...thank you for sending this beautiful sax ballad....
@dal4018 LOL... how are you? i'm still around... just not as much.. i see we have another common trax that touches the soul... we must keep in touch.. thanks for reaching out fellow tuber.
@port2344chester Hey thanks hey sad news you know that ETTA JAMES passed away last friday(1-20)and the guy who discovered her JOHNNY OTIS passed away as well on (1-17)MUHAMMAD ALI'S BIRTHDAY HE TURNED 70 YRS YOUNG.ROBERT HEYGES FROM "WELCOME BACK KOTTER" also passed away he played the character "JUAN EPSTEIN" he was 60 he died from CARDIAC ARREST yesterday. Also the actor JAMES FARRENTINO passed away as well he was 73.
I still remember what George said in this album, " If People Will Only Conquer The Lower Forms Of Themselfs, Then Perhaps This World Will Truly Become A Nice Place To Be". George wrote this and the song for "Spencer For Hire "30 years ago .
I just finished watching Spenser for Hire's the Haunting. That was the best episode of a great series. This music so reminds me of Robert Urich and Avery "Hawk" Brooks. Music is sort of sad now - a distant theme of what was and will not be again.
Wonderful! I used to listen to this album everyday. I love George Howard's music, he was a great musician that was very much underrated. Thanks for posting this.
Nice, very nice, smooth!
