  • Very nice interpretation. You made it your own with your musical style. I think these pieces should sound different each time - in fact it would be impossible for this not to happen as we are all ever changing and cannot really repeat anything. A lovely piece which I attempt from time to time. Julian Bream was brilliant at changing his style of playing each time was different, Thanks for posting Gary

You are right, die momentane Stimmung has the lead in this kind of music! We owe Francisco so much!!

  • Very nice interpretation! This piece tends to be rushed a lot and it loses its feeling that way I think. Your playing was slow and relaxed with the right accents.

  • It sounds to me as if all those years of playing Lagrima have paid off big time, Tor Inge! This is a beautiful performance and an authoritative interpretation. Thanks for another great listening experience!

    Paul

  • @freescorepaul Hei dear Paul and once more thank you for your kind words. Great inspiration for me!

This Tarrega Preludio score looks quite simple, but apperance can be misleading. The music is quite fragile. That is my experience almost every time I try to play "Lagrima"

    All the best!

  • Dear Tor Inge.

Takk! It is so nice to hear a simple tune, played simple and easy. No fuzz, only the MUSIC.

Thank you my dear friend. Jag hoppas du och Ann Mari har det bra.

  • @AndanteLargo Kjære Per-Olof. Takk for hyggelig kommentar. No "fuzz pedal" for my "Raya Pardo"

  • Very beautifully played. I have known this music for 50 years and I never tire of hearing it played. To me, its simple beauty and grace make it a timeless masterpiece.

  • By your playing I can imagine each tear, which is flowing. I´m only used to play it a bit faster. But I also think it may sound differently.

Your Lagrima sounds really very nice. Regards Martina

  • Each tear has it's own special reflection, so each one is different. And so, this Lágrima *has* to sound different each time ;-) This little piece is one of those, which only become "jewel" when played. The pure score... that's not the treasure. Your playing is.

    thank you&best wishes

  • Tor, I agree about playing this piece differently each time. I love it and sometimes play part two closer to the bridge as if the tears increase and taper of when returning to part 1.

Anyway a beautiful performance with exceptional tone.

  • Dear Tor Inge,

this is definitely my favorite Lagrima I ever heard. There are 2 reasons. The first is: it is played by you. The second is: you play it superb, outstanding, doozy.

I agree with John but not with the last sentence. It is a masterwork as it is. Nothing less!

    Best wishes my friend

  • Hi Tor Inge,

I find this to be a very original, thoughtful and sensitive rendition. You surely add new qualities to this piece that I wasn't aware of until now. Your way of frasing is beautiful and imaginative. If you can come up with a better version next time it will be a masterwork, nothing less.

    Regards John
