I have to love how Americas think Arabs are cold, dirty, and dangerous. On the contrary they love to celebrate and dance and sing and clap their hands at any given time. It is THE americans who don't know how to be happy! They are the ones wo are taking pills for their depression? Did they invent bellydancing? No, they just have slutty dancing and their entertainment consist of whorish acts that cover their lack of originality and creativirty. God Bless Egypt Forever!
hmmm.. how could Marilyn Monroe have been a threat to high politicians? her death is still highly suspicious and she was "just" an actress.. high politicians and policemen the world over love to party with the rich and with the beautiful.. especially the latter ones often hear and see things they werent supposed to know.. or become a threat simply because a powerful man had an affair with them that could destroy him.. its not uncommon such "private stuff" becomes dangerous is it?
@dinavienna True, I get youre point but still These were matter that happened in the 60s. Why would they wait 40 YEARS to kill her? Was it really because she was going to write an autobiography? If tthey trusted her for so long than they wouldve know that she wouldn't admit anything stupid in her autobiography. Marilyn not even half a decade after she came in contact with government officials, yet Soad lasted 40 years? I just want to understand!
guys :) im Egyptian and while i was looking for the song on youtube i never thought that i will see some out our country's uploaded it with subs !! ya wad ya teel mean heavy right but in arabic it means not heavy weight :D .. it means hes slowly moving on to her ;) .. playing it slow .. hope it helps u guys understand the meaning of the song and how beautiful these days was in egypt and how happy she was, there is no one these days who is happy like this.. there used to be
@manticorex5452452 I'm sorry, when you say, "this bimbo," are you saying that Nancy Ajram is a bimbo, or that the character in this video clip is a bimbo? If you wanted to say that I shouldn't compare Soad Hosni to Nancy Ajram, I wasn't comparing Soad Hosni to Nancy Ajram--I was saying that Nancy Ajram copies Soad Hosni in her style, and that Soad Hosni is a great actress.
@shunkahato That's what I said. Souad Hosni is one of the actress who symbolize the arab dream of nasserism, happiness. She was an amazing actress, and she had a beautiful voice. Nancy Ajram is just a bimbo without brain & voice ...So we agree :)
I LOVE HER!!!!!! I just watched a screening of a collection of all her movie scenes yesterday in Doha Tribecca Film Festival. She is Gorgeous and a amazing actress!
the real meaning of the song title is that he is playing hard to get or indifferent but it is tough to find one very correct word in English to translate it, certainly cool is not in place at all
@hish55 I don't want to offend you, but if you are not from middle-east, then most probably you will not understand why "cold" is a kind of right translation in English. This is the difference how Western and Middle-Eastern people feel and express their feelings.
@myvideobits Hi, no offence taken, actually I am born and raised in Egypt and grew up watching lovely soad and listening to om kolthum & abdel wahab & abdel halim hafez. If you read my response to the end, you would have concluded that fairly easily since I equate cold with "baared". I still believe that "teieel" doesn't equate "baared" however, but I do appreciate your caring very much. She was a wonderful lively flower that adorned egypt in a golden age that is now all but gone. My best to u
@hish55 Can I ask at what age you left Egypt? I left my East country when I was 25 and I can still understand East cultures and feel them right, last 10 years abroad didn't change me much, in fact they made me to be closer to my culture like never before. If you left when you were younger than 12, then you might be a stranger to your arab culture now and might feel things a little different. I'm just speaking based on people I know who left their East for the life in West when they were kids.
@myvideobits I'll try to msg you privately, but in the mean time let's all honor and enjoy this great posting of a wonderful and beautiful icon of Egypt when it was at it's best. We all agree that Soad Hosny is simply gorgeous.
I love this movie is it on youtube because I can't find it and I would love to watch it. I remember watching this like a gillion times when I was a kid. And I haven't seen it since. And I think it's time to rekindle with the classics.
@1001ArabicTuition actually there is 95% chance thats the intelligence service killed her as well as anwar al sadat with what keep discovering these days in egypt ..

cool man is a better translation than "cold" man. Cold means "bared"
hish55 9 months ago 3
@hish55 Yes but cool could mean he's...cool. Cold implies he is cold to her, i.e. blanking her!

@annameowww because apparently she was in the process of writing her autobiography -- it must have contained something. :\ She died in London.
