To elaborate on my reply below. It comes down to performance style. If I were to do 10-20 minutes of card tricks, I avoid anything that looks fancy or skillfull for the first half. The moment I do something that looks 'practiced & skill' people become more watchfull & suspicious of the cards being in my hands which bugs me. Some magicians like that feeling so it really comes down to personal preference.
-fullbloodlion has a great 8 second clip as a video response to this clip, check it out.
Most young magicians learn this because it looks hard & fancy & want to do it faster than thier friends. If Joe spends 25 hrs perfecting this cut, while Betty spends 25 hrs perfecting a natural false shuffle or a natural DB, then people who watch Joe feels like they are being tricked by skill :( & people who watch Betty may feel like they are seeing 'Magic' happen : )
However, The cut in this clip does have a powerful secret which I will pm you about, that is well worth learning....
Just a couple of things. The packet that is in your left hand at the end of the cut (the one on top of the other one) isn't supposed to be held by the corners. It is supposed to be be held by the long edges at one end.
Also, when you separate the packets into Z grip at the beginning, it should be one smooth motion. All packets separated at the same time, not one at a time.
Thanks bro. By the way, If your up for it could you send the 8 second clip you did on your page as a response to this clip? Either way thanks again for clarifying.
I'm not sure what's more funny, the fact that I called it aejrhvbafweqrgui or the fact that you spelled it correctly in your comment, lol. Honestly, I'm a you-tuber that doesn't want views, lol. I gave this clip one word for a tag, "magic" that way it won't pull up on people's searches, lol. I don't get it either. I posted myself on the internet yet I don't want views, lol! I have 51 clips, 31 are set to private, lol.
look i started doing magic for like a month now and i already have 6 decks but one that i don't use(Bee) do you think that 5 decks or 6 is too much for a month worth of magic?
lol, I remember going through 5 decks pretty quickly when I started. It depends what your practicing ya know. One deck lasts me 4-7 weeks. but I always have a seperate deck that I only use to show a trick to someone. If you practice Jeff McBride stuff or XCM stuff you wreck decks faster. I usually have 3 decks at one time. One for people, one that is o.k. to practice, & 1 that is ruined to do stupid stuff with. 5 decks in a month is normal till you get the hang of your style.Don't worry 'bout it
hey having those amount of decks is perfectly normal. its dif for each person depending on what u do. for me, i wear out 1-2 decks a day, becuz i constantly use them for springs. lepaul spread, etc. hope this helps
Is this a false cut???
