Yes, she did, but unfortunately she had to drop the Olympic Games before the gymastics competitions started. While practicing she felt a pain in her leg, which was diagnosed as a minor fracture. She then came back to Brazil (She had to). Too bad because back then Brazil didn't have enough high quality gymnasts to make up a team. Soraya Carvalho was the only gymnast who qualified to go to Atlanta. Too bad she never had the chance to compete at the Olympic Games.

Yes, she qualified to go to 96 olympics, she was a finalist in the AA of 95 world championships...
