Hey i seen that so called star lower down to earth from my view in oklahoma it was flashing the colors but it was moving like an aircraft and is now not in its constellation so im wondering what the.hell i just saw if u have any info please let me know asap
I live in the country and I have noticed several of these in the sky all during the year but the last month they seem closer than normal.It is more than one .I thought they were satellites or weather balloons but did not know for sure.I would love to know the official name of them (I spot at least 4 or 5 throughout the sky in different directions) .every night going on since about 2009.
sirius the dog star twinkles alot its apart of orion and sirius constellation polaris the north star is apart of the little dipper the start twinkles because the earth turns and as it turns the light from the star is refracted in different directions causing it to change colors
I think I saw the same thing you filmed. It caught my eye because the twinkling was just so brilliant colorful and odd, so not like a normal star. I had to get an answer, so here I am ha. Anyways, glad to see others are curious about it too lol.

@worshipisaverb I see to same thing in the sky whether I'm on the east coast or west. It's not a plane and it radiates different colors, the only object that does that viewing with the necked eye.
@stiffy2411 seen it from Toronto to Calgary. I seen three in calgary, alberta from the east south south west south i work nights so i see it every clear night. In Toronto i even seen flashing orange lights drop from the sky. The lights flashes red blue white but mixing like the colors are dancing,
@stiffy2411 It could be the dark rift the center of our galaxy we are suppose to be passing through it 2012 it might see it bigger or brighter. It`s a black hole the light you see is the light being sucked in. just thought
This is my conclusion. Im guessing you shot the video around 5th of Sep 2009? Well the moon looked close to the horizon, Sirius wudnt be visible till near sunrise at best, so it wasnt there. The brightest object in the sky after the moon would have been Jupiter maybe that was it, but it doesnt flash colors like that. I can almost guarentee doh..it was the star 'Arcturus'..cause it flashs in colors lyk crazy..and its the 3rd brightest star...i think dahs a case closed lol
I saw this object tonight out of my window. I looked through my spotting scope and what I saw was a red glow in its center, blue around the edges, it had a white lighted triangle frame and it zipped across the sky only to suddenly stop on a dime and didnt move for an hour after which it then vanished.
I've seen it too bro---It flashes from red to blue with white flashes in the middle.AND,it doesnt stay in aperfect "Spherical shape" like other stars and planets do.Whatever it is,its huge,and it aint a planet and it aint a star.WTF is it?? A big satellite??
@mrbrianmccarthy I was thinking it could be a satellite and the lights could be some of those really bright leds you still see on emergency vehicles today. Maybe the lights tell the observers the operation status of the device. I'm still not sure what is

The star you are seeing is beetle juice, its acutally a dying a star and its blow up bit by bit, what we see is actually over 10thousand years old, so in 10k years when its all said and done, that star will be gone, its emitting all those colors because when a star dies it emits several colors of heat, gama and light rays.

what you call the north star is really a planet, planets don't twinkle stars do, the other object you filmed is a star.

The star you are seeing is beetle juice, its acutally a dying a star and its blow up bit by bit, what we see is actually over 10thousand years old, so in 10k years when its all said and done, that star will be gone, its emitting all those colors because when a star dies it emits several colors of heat, gama and light rays.
