  • Favorite Rock album of all time! I have all Montrose on vinyl, my precioussssss

  • "You KNOW it's gettin' thin when friends turn you in", ain't that the the truth.

  • One of my all time fave rock albums...still rocks to this day...Ronnie Montrose...one hell of a guitarist

  • I'd put on the headset and play this whole album on the drums in my basement when I was a teen....over and over....and over...

  • Best lyrics ever///

"I just quit my Job Making Toothpicks out of Logs"

  • sammy wailed then and wails now ! and ronny smokes the guitar !

  • @jokeur57

I love that "DiMarzio" humbucker guitar pickup sound!

  • Every song on this album rocks ...

  • @567ricksf150 And Rocks hard dude

  • Great Fkn song ever, next to Bad motor scooter, One thing on my mind

  • I have tinitus cause of this record and I dont give a shit! Awesome balls to the wall rock n roll! Chicks come and go but Montrose they're are forever! Brilliant! F**k now I am off 2 work in the toothpick factory.

  • アメリカン・ハード・ブギで、70年代中期を彩った、モントローズ、デビュ盤より"I DON'T WANT IT"~そこそこの名盤だったネ!

  • well i just quit my job making tooth picks out of logs....great lyrics, great guitar and singer...they just dont write them like this anymore

  • This is why I have a Soundblaster sound card and Alesis studio monitors hooked up to my computer. Oh yeah...

  • The first four lines are just as true today as they were 35+ years ago.

  • アッタ!アッタ!何年だ?1973か~~~アメリカン・ハード THIS IS MONTOROSE!

  • seems like ever since sammy left ,he just went down hill

  • I`ve been all over and never met someone that didn`t like to rock out to this album...timeless classic!

  • I remember being 13 years old and my uncle, 16 at the time, turned me on to this album. It struck a chord with me and I've been rocking ever since. Still one of my all time top 5 albums. Maybe even number 1. Not a bad song on the entire thing! Ronnie's playing is spot on and Sammy is GREAT as always!!

  • One of the greatest albums ever!!

  • Ah- 1976. Mott The Hoople, Ted Nugent, Foghat and of course Montrose. Sitting here with a scotch and water reminiscing of simpler times and better music. When someone can listen to music from over 30 years ago and still feel the same passion as if it was the first time they heard it says something .

  • @steamerdude1 Here, here...complete agreement

  • Hands down the best album out of the 70's, a close second is Desolation Blvd by Sweet

  • the best montrose albumn

  • YOU HAD TO HAVE BEEN THERE,FAST CARS-BIKES-WOMEN-MUSIC-ME!

  • got to be in the top 25. of all time

  • This album set the standard for great guitar tone. Great songs. Great musicians. Great performances. My cover band did pretty much all of the songs on this album. Timeless. Ronnie's a GOD!!!

  • One of the better opening lines in all of rock in this tune...

"Well I gave love a chance and it sh**t back in my face!"

    Brutal....

  • Straight ahead, no BS, cuts like a knife, the best damn pure rock album ever in my humble opinion. Not one bad cut on the entire album. I mean, come-on, what's not to like! Get some!

  • @sezwhom True, Sammy Hagar said there's no reason to try and top it, by doing another, but we could use a helluva lot more music and albums such as this slab of vinyl

  • @sezwhom i will agree with that sezwhom.....

  • @nigelloflaveo Well said!! I just joined a band as vocalist with drummer Bob Church,Bill's brother!

  • The well-spoken TRUTH!

  • they will have to rip the head phones, from my cold dead hands! before i stop listen, to one of the GREATEST!! albums of all times.

  • Cards fan and Montrose fantastic

  • QUITE SIMPLY, AS GOOD AS IT GETS In ALL RESPECTS - THIS IS WHAT REAL HARD ROCK SOUNDS LIKE - RECORDED LOUD and LIVE IN THE STUDIO ON 2 INCH TAPE and ONLY 8 TRACKS - THIS IS THE RECORD THAT PUT TED TEMPLEMAN ON THE MAP. SAMMY WAS A SCRAWNY KID WHO WANTED TO BE A ROCK STAR - RONNIE, THE UNHERALDED AXEMAN EXTRAORINAIRE ALWAYS, WILL BE JUST WHAT HE WANTED TO BE - JUST A PURE MUSICAL ARTIST and PERFECIONIST, WHO TOTALLY KICKS PHUKKING ASS ON GUITAR !!!!!!!

  • Me and my best friend took this lp to school when it came out everyone at school said it sucked ,,my buddy,, Ike and i just looked at each other smiled and said they dont know shit these stupid kids

  • "Just quit my job making toothpicks outta logs..." All of us who hate our jobs can identify with that line!

  • feel free yo upload Jump On It if you got it...another rare gem!

  • Thank you so much, all of 'em. Cut my guitar playin' teeth on this whole album. Taz

  • great album!

  • GREAT POST! LOVE THIS SONG...THANK YOU! If only more Americans would get PISSED like Ronnie...What a WONDERFUL world it would be...

  • Simply the greatest rock album ever. No pretentious bullshit , no "7 minute epics", no all sitting in a row with acoustic guitars,no drum solos,no "shouty" singing , no Guest stars , no fillers...just brilliant song after brilliant song. Love SH's little vocal ad libs and growls , not to mention the perfect guitar - never too much ; never too little. This LP crackles with the real spirit of rock and , probably unwittingly , is a work of f***ing genius. Thanks for sharing , brought it all back.

  • @nigelloflaveo How the fuck do you manage to like anything ?

  • We played this whole album. My guitar player Frank Duvall absolutely loved Ronnie. I had a pretty big mancrush on Sammy too. Best party album of all time.

  • Thanks a million for putting these songs up, I hadn't heard any of them before and now I'm going to buy the album

  • Das ist ja aber SUPER!

  • great song!

    sammy kicks ass!
