I already have the AVERMEDIA C281 Game Capture HD for recording PS3 gameplays, however since the PS3 has HDCP for the HDMI would there really be a reason to get the AVERMEDIA Game Broadcaster HD?

this product doesn't record 1080p@60. it deletes every other frame & works at 1080p30. thumbsdown for title fail. also, it seems to have blocking problems. maybe if they had the horsepower to record 60fps, they could also enable deblocking (rollseyes). and 15mbps max of 1080p source isn't enough. 25-30 results in higher quality youtube transcodings. (from 4-6mbps to 7-9mbps)

If you want to capture gameplays from PC or Xbox 360, we recommend using HDMI cable. However, if you want to capture PS3 gameplay, please use component cable (the one with green, blue, red, white and red connectors). Yes, you can play, record and stream at the same time.

@Lekanor The information from your point is not correct. You still can input and set the PC and Console resolution to 1080p60 and 1920x1080 60Hz and display it correctly. This device will do 60p to 30p conversion to save file size and CPU loading when recording/streaming but you still can use the original resolution to play the game.

When you record with this on PC, there is probably no sound recording aswell because you use an HDMI cable. Is there a function to record sound aswell or do we have to record the sounds ourselves?
