The Spanish would've never been able to take Tenochtitlan without the help of the TENS OF THOUSANDS of Natives that hated the Aztecs and allied with the Spanish. THEY did most of the work, Cortés just didn't have enough troops to do that. The genocide of the Aztecs can be mostly credited to other natives who gladly slaughtered their old-time enemies, the Aztecs, without mercy, women and children included. If your parents are & were from Guadalajara Mexico, you must find out who use to reside there on that town before the "conquest" had occur, such as the Purechecha, Hauxtec, Tajin, Toltec etc. If you are related to the Mexica by blood, you might be a Mexica. Mexicans in general are predominantly Indigenous people, even when they have cultural influences of Spanish life style, they know in their hearts that they are Mexicano.
