@FrankIerofan207 u need to get a littler pan for ferrets with a large back on it and use feline pine litter or corn cob litter those are the best 2 because they have very little dust and additives
You know your not supposed to let ferrets in that kind of liter. it causes respitory problems that lead to a slow painful death for your farret due to the fact that it cant get rid of the dust because they have sack lungs, much like spiders or snakes.

Funny how Ferret Language can be similar to dog language, as I noticed a couple of times the white Ferret was laying on her/his back showing a sign of submission to the cat. Dogs to the same to establish dominance in a pack.
Why didn't yo clean your cat box before filming this? It's GROSS seeing ferrets play in cat poop. And that cat is not playing it is fighting. Lucky those ferrets did not get seriously injured. My cat never reacted this negatively to my ferrets but I would still never leave them alone together.
Cats don't show their stomach unless they are submitting or being trusting or sometimes when they play. End of story. If the cat really wanted to kill the ferrets, it would have tried.
I actually believe the cat was playing. Yes, in the beginning, it was obvious that the cat was taken aback by all the ferrets just invading its space. Its ears were flattening, &it fled. But afterwards, it came back. It wouldn't have come back if it hated their existence. &after it came back, its tail was up for a lot of the time, &its ears were erect. It was being playful, yet cautious. Now, if the cat's ears were totally flattened, tail was down, &was hissing, that would be a different story.

I have five ferrets two! their names are aremeow,slinks,stormy/criminal paws,moose, and newbie-snow! and five cats, cushion, nochay, sarafia,twilight,golden-breeze.
And I dnt c y people think ferrets smell compare to us, and our shampoos,perfumes,lotion ect! Our chemicals are much worst than nature.
There is a flaw in your logic the cat left by jumping on ledge but it appears to me the cat gently jumps back down (On Its Own) to play with the ferrets if the cat was annoyed it would of left and stayed gone not come back down to tap the ferrets.
That's not play, the one greyish ferret was actually snapping and hissing at your cat and that is absolutely mean to trap that many animals in a bathroom that size.

Good Lord, I nearly mistook the cat for my old kitten. Her coloring and personality are remarkably similar to this one. Only thing that says that she isn't is the video post date. I gave her up for adoption earlier this year.
Cat was on the verge of having one of those for dinner. Cats are best left to their own choices and when they clearly don't want to play, please give them space. Several times this cat was put back into a situation where it was on the edge, feeling cornered and almost ready to kill it's way out. Bad owner, plus how filthy do you leave your litter box? Displaying said filth on youtube for all the world to see? Epic fail and your pets deserve a much better owner...

Instead I'll go by the fact that cats don't go for the kill unless they are hunting and that all you have to do is look at the cat's body language to see that she is annoyed and uncomfortable. The cat tried to leave twice, that is not the behavior of play.

@zippadeedooday Well Mr."professional" I live with cats as well and have been around ferrets all my life, if the cat truly wantted to get away it would have just stayed and hide in the bath tub or curled up by the door. Instead it kept going back for me of course there were times when it felt overwhelmed in the play when it realized they were all teaming up on it (the reason for the hisses) but other then that, they were fine.

And again, I'd be more concerned with the ferrets harming the cat. Cats have significantly thinner skin whereas ferrets have very, very thick skin. Ferrets also bite HARD when they play with other animals. And playing is a just a practice form of hunting and killing anyway.

You've already said that she jumps to a higher area when annoyed or overwhelmed, don't try to excuse defending herself when she's pushed back into the ferrets as 'play' when it clearly isn't.

They kill by takeing off heads of smaller animals so when up against a larger animal they dig its claws into the neck and run in circles around the head untill someone is really hurt or dead. but anyway It just looked like play to me...

@jordan5168 They might under close supervision. Ferrets play rough and have a tendency to bite really hard. Puppies and kittens have much thinner skin when compared to ferrets and probably won't appreciate being bitten so harshly.

I have five ferrets two! their names are aremeow,slinks,stormy/criminal paws,moose, and newbie-snow! and five cats, cushion, nochay, sarafia,twilight,golden-breeze.
And I dnt c y people think ferrets smell compare to us, and our shampoos,perfumes,lotion ect! Our chemicals are much worst than nature.

There is a flaw in your logic the cat left by jumping on ledge but it appears to me the cat gently jumps back down (On Its Own) to play with the ferrets if the cat was annoyed it would of left and stayed gone not come back down to tap the ferrets.

Good Lord, I nearly mistook the cat for my old kitten. Her coloring and personality are remarkably similar to this one. Only thing that says that she isn't is the video post date. I gave her up for adoption earlier this year.

Cat was on the verge of having one of those for dinner. Cats are best left to their own choices and when they clearly don't want to play, please give them space. Several times this cat was put back into a situation where it was on the edge, feeling cornered and almost ready to kill it's way out. Bad owner, plus how filthy do you leave your litter box? Displaying said filth on youtube for all the world to see? Epic fail and your pets deserve a much better owner...

The cat is clearly playing, otherwise it would have NEVER rolled onto its back to expose its belly- trust me I have 3 cats and when they play together they are a hell of a lot more rough than this!
Oh and Id also like to point out that naturally ferrets are hunters, just look at their teeth! If they wanted to they could at the very least really damage the cat. At the most, kill it.

@zippadeedooday If the cat wanted to eat the ferrets, she would have already went for the kill, throw the dead body up and down, and then eat it. I've had cats my whole life and I have a ferret now. The cat was just playing with the ferret. If the cat had hated the ferrets, she would have shown it.

@NekoUzumaki If we're going by anecdotal evidence, I grew up with cats, ferrets, and pole cats. I've known many people (see, 14) with cats and ferrets. In all those cases, the cats could not be left alone with the ferrets.
Instead I'll go by the fact that cats don't go for the kill unless they are hunting and that all you have to do is look at the cat's body language to see that she is annoyed and uncomfortable. The cat tried to leave twice, that is not the behavior of play.

@zippadeedooday We have 2 ferrets and 2 cats. both the ferrets and cats play together well. the ferrets get too rough the cat bites back. we have had 0 "fights" and they still play it has been 2 years this way./

@zippadeedooday Well Mr."professional" I live with cats as well and have been around ferrets all my life, if the cat truly wantted to get away it would have just stayed and hide in the bath tub or curled up by the door. Instead it kept going back for me of course there were times when it felt overwhelmed in the play when it realized they were all teaming up on it (the reason for the hisses) but other then that, they were fine.

@zippadeedooday You obviously can't read cat body language very well. lol I'd be more worried about the ferrets harming the cat if anything. Cats have very thin skin whereas a ferrets' skin is ridiculously thick and ferrets, when playing, can bite VERY hard.

@zippadeedooday Have YOU watched the video? The cat plays with the ferrets and then when it gets annoyed or overwhelmed it jumps to a higher area. Soon, it jumps back to play. And again, I'd be more concerned with the ferrets harming the cat. Cats have significantly thinner skin whereas ferrets have very, very thick skin. Ferrets also bite HARD when they play with other animals. And playing is a just a practice form of hunting and killing anyway.

You've already said that she jumps to a higher area when annoyed or overwhelmed, don't try to excuse defending herself when she's pushed back into the ferrets as 'play' when it clearly isn't.

@zippadeedooday The cat never left permanently either. It kept going back to paw at the ferrets. If the cat truly wanted out or away from the ferrets, it would've stayed up high and away from them. My cat who plays with the ferrets does this, my cat who does NOT like the ferrets will stay up and away from them, not returning to the ground until they are gone.

The entire video her ears are cocked, when not entirely flattened, which cats *don't do* when they are just playing.

They kill by takeing off heads of smaller animals so when up against a larger animal they dig its claws into the neck and run in circles around the head untill someone is really hurt or dead. but anyway It just looked like play to me...

@jordan5168 They might under close supervision. Ferrets play rough and have a tendency to bite really hard. Puppies and kittens have much thinner skin when compared to ferrets and probably won't appreciate being bitten so harshly.
