I get the japanese version first ( was megaman x fan since snes games ) and cried in that scene. Also, since she absorbed Colonel's violent nature, (the purple thing) with her own pacifistic nature, the sheer paradox of both natures in the same person was slowly killing her. Either way, she's still dead.

Zero 4 has the best way of ending things, storyline-wise

@Viewtifulgirl24 That's a fine opinion, but for me, a game is measure by the play... gameplay. Game's like Demon's Souls, Castlevania, and a good chunk of Fighting games. Platformers and FPSs thrive on their gameplay. I think that for a game like Demon's Souls, an RPG, it's especially tough to get away with this because it's more of a genre catered to story. It's really all on the genre. wouldn't expect Grade A writing from a sports game. The only Megaman title which story I enjoyed was Legends

@vergil165 You are right. But I do enjoy X6 personally. It has some things that are greater than any other game in the series aside from all the bad things that it brought up. Some stages are unique and difficult without having unfair difficulty, and there is Zero, who has been made far superior to the past 2 games. When I played X7... Well, there was absolutely nothing that was intriguing, stage design was terrible, Axl is annoying, X has to be unlocked!? and etc... But at least music was good.

but Zero didn't technically kill Iris, it was officially said that Iris died due to a malfunction in her system, she downloaded Colonel's data to herself even if she was a non combat reploid. It was her own system that crashed and lead to her death, not Zero.

@MobianShoopIndustry well, if you come to my channel and look at my vids (there's only 3), one of them is me playing as Alia in Booster Forest. the logo and main menu is also included at the start of the vid, and there, after the "PRESS ENTER" message, if you pause at around 0:19, you can see the option "SELECT LANGUAGE". i think it may not be included in all versions though. u may have to... "google" another version for urself to get it. ;)
