this video clip is one of the most powerful roots dub moments ever played live. their spirit, energy and technical perfection are astounding. Aswad roots!!!
yes we at sr1m like 2 salute our family angus drummie zeb long success wit his group as u can c from this video his been doing it since in his early teens and gone on 2 b regarded as 1 of d best drummers of any genre and of any era that alone is a grt accomplishment pioneers just like us we at sr1m hav taken d music 2 another level 4 more visit this site
yea but drummie later on in the 90's took the group on a different way "commercial wise" and it didnt work. anyway that doesnt take away the classic dubs dem man produced. aswad for life. big up!
'ello, Its good to get a reply just to hear that short blast of good music again. Yeah, I used to see them play places all the time and they were just so, so good. such a wicked band, what the fuck happened? Please tell me they didn't write those dribbly tunes just for the US market, is that why they changed their style?
They seemed to end up playing that kinda US pop-Reggae that seems to have no bassline.
It reminds me of that famous line. "Coz the beat of the heart, is the beat of the drum.."
I wish my mama had taken me to such live performance when I was a child, just like in 1:16 in front rows
