This is yet another thing that Jordan and Kobe have that most all others didnt. When there legs went the are so fundamentally sound that the skill still enabled them to own. Look at the McGradys and Iversons and soon to be Lebrons and Carmelos when their legs go the will be shells of what they once were because no great skill

But bear in mind, Jordan even at age 34 in the 96-97 season shot better than Kobe ever has, an EFG% of .516 and still led the league in scoring...just under 30 ppg...at age 34. At age 33, MJ averaged over 30 ppg, won the mvp, won a ring, finals mvps, and shot EFG% .525. Pretty incredible.
