@Lightwolf333 Thanks!!!! It was pure accident that I caught this train. I was on the chase of an eastbound stack train in the Feather River Canyon and I had gone to this spot waiting for the east bound stack and then out of no where came this westbound thing with UP 1983 leading, total surprise to me.
Thanks!!!! Reason I spent so long videoing this train is because that is the UP 1983 heritage engine leading the train, some what of a rare site to see and I happened to stumbel upon it so I had to get lots of footage of the rare site.
James, you should really feature that UP 1983 is included in this video. This is a big deal, especially since UP doesn't run 1983 through the Canyon anymore.

True, but like I said this was when 1983 was brand new and UP ran her through the canyon on a regular basis. So back then, of course you would have more of a chance of catching her out of total random.
Nuts. I actually got a cab tour of UP 1983 back in August of the year 2005 in Portola and I have tons of pictures of 1983 from the inside and out side up close.

Union Pacific let everyone all over UP 1983 (inside and out side) during Portola RR days in year 2005 when I was there.

True, but like I said this was when 1983 was brand new and UP ran her through the canyon on a regular basis. So back then, of course you would have more of a chance of catching her out of total random.
