I'm talking about owning in the sense that it is free and clear of debt. If I give you stolen cow or a cow that I had to take a loan out to buy from someone else, it is not your cow until I pay off the loan and it is especially not your cow if I stole it from someone else. I might give you more quarts of milk depending on what the coin selling for in the market. That's ownership. Something for something. One cannot own anything by exchanging pieces of paper (e.g., federal reserve notes).
